काठमाडौं, वैशाख ६ (नागरिक) - सरकारले पूर्णकालीन ऊर्जामन्त्रीले पद वहाली नगर्दै विद्युत प्राधिकरणको सञ्चालक समिति विघटन गरेको छ। गत साता अमेरिका उड्नु अघि उपप्रधान तथा अर्थमन्त्री भरतमोहन अधिकारीले प्राधिकरणको सञ्चालक समिति भंग गर्दै सञ्चालक समितिमा रहेका चार जनालाई हटाएर आफ्नो नाता पर्ने सुजित आचार्यलाई मात्र ल्याएका छन्।  ऊर्जामन्त्री घोषित गोकर्ण विष्ट उपचाररत छन्। अधिकारीको चाहनामा सञ्चालक समितिका सदस्य बनाइएका आचार्य हाइड्रोपावर उद्यमी हुन्।सञ्चालक समितिमा सरकारले नियुक्ति गरेका सदस्यहरु आनन्द बतास, मुकेशराज काफ्ले र लेखमानसिंह भण्डारीलाई हटाइएको छ। साढे दुई महिनादेखि प्राधिकरण सञ्चालक समितिको बैठक बस्न सकेको छैन।

Sujit Acharya is one of the few hydro-power developers who has really done something in the field of hydro power.  He is a graduate from some good college from Boston.

He is one of the promoters of Pilluwa-Khola 3.5 MW hydro power proeject, that is under operation since last 7-8 years. He is also affiliated with Clean Engergy Development Bank, which is one of the biggest promoters of Hydro Power Project in Nepal.  This is the second time Mr. Acharya has been appointed to NEA board. 

If you read Nagarik, which is totally against this government, it would like the readers to believe that Mr. Acharya was just picked from the sky and put there.  Mr. Acharya has time and again voiced his opinion on different papers on how the government of Nepal should stop giving out hydro-power licenses just on the basis of first come first served.

Mr. Acharya is no, he is NOT Mr. Adhikari's son in Law.
