I'm not sure how true this is, but I found it a little funny.
One of my friends was telling me that NGO's are sending their social workers to teach safe sex in rural villages. So many of these social workers are putting condoms on their thumbs to show to use a condom.
When NGO's were doing the research on the effectiveness of their safe sex programs in the villages they found out that it wasn't as effective as they had hoped it would be. It turns out that there were many villagers who were having sex with their significant others with a condom wrapped tightly around their thumb instead of their you-know-what. They thought that having a condom on their thumb during sex would protect them from diseases.
I also heard that in many villages in Nepal customarily they don't kiss mouth to mouth: french kiss. Is that true?
Another of my friends was telling me this incident where he was watching a western movie. He had a man from the villages who was watching the movie with him. In one scene of the movie, this man and a lady started french kissing. This villager was staring intently on the screen. My friend was watching the villager wondering if he should fastforward the VCR. All of a sudden the villager looks at my friend and says:
"kasto risaahaa raichha hai tyo logni manchhe, tyo bicharra swasni manchhe ko mukh nai tok diyo."
