I accidently updated all the records in a table. It is uregent. I need to open a transaction log and restore the database. Your help is very much appreciated.
How do I open a transaction log?

do you have a Full backup ang T-log backup ? what version are you using ? Right click on Database, click on Restore Database, select from device and locate the backup path, select the backup, also in To Database select the same name as backup from drop down and click ok. Thats it.

Hi diggy, thanks for replyy. unfortuynately i have no backups of transaction log. We purchased apexsql software and it lets you open my transaction log and undo the updates from certain point to certain point. Problem is , 500,000+ rows needs to be updates and it is taking 2+ days to create the undo script for each row. During all this time there is work stoppage :(
About the backup of transaction log, why do we nneed to back up transaction log? wouldnt everything get saved in one transaction log? Wouldnt that have history of anything? so why do we need to back it up since we can just go to that time and undo change?
