Nepalese poet finds love in detention center Romance bloomed when Jersey City woman came into Pradeep Thapa's life http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29165913/ JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Pradeep Thapa bounded off the plane clutching his seven books and his journalistic credentials, his heart filled with anticipation and pride. So when immigration officers at Newark Liberty International Airport refused Thapa entry, slapped him in handcuffs and shackles and locked him in a prison-like building with 300 other immigrants, he assumed it was all a huge mistake. This was Thapa's third visit to America and the 31-year-old Nepalese poet had won wide acclaim for his writings about his country's politics and culture. His passport and visa were in order. He hadn't committed any crime. He had friends and a place to stay.

touching story. it's dedication guys; age does not matter in love. then, why you guys think he married her just because he needs green card of the US while he was even ready to go to Jamaika? having said that, there may be something hidden. why he claimed that he would be sentenced in Nepal and wanted to deported to any other country if he had not caused any problem in Nepal? Even Baban Singh was pardoned in our lawlesss country, why this journalist will be jailed? Why he was making this an issue?

ya exactly, Nepal is not north korea or china and never heard of this politically active journalist in Nepal. I've seen many "true love" like this in America and they always end up once the guy get no restriction green card after 2 years or he gets his citizenship after 3 years of marriage. Then he always finds another true love who was waiting in Nepal for last 3 -4 years. Sometimes i want to spit at their face for their lie but again, most kheryenes don't even care, they move on after a week or until they get drunk and find their another " true love". but, i'm sorry for any gunienly lady who thinks it was a true love. I don't know mr. thapa personally but hope he's not playing this game for money or citizenship. I personally know like 10 kheryenes who thougth they have found true love and got betrayed. most of them have moved on , but one girl who went to school with me feels abused. She always got good grades and was real nice, and now she is lost and real hopeless. she picked a job that she really not like and she's living and don't know what she's living for. i feel sorry for her. Citizenship is important but isn't there more to life than to live in a rich country?

Who cares about true love and all. Everything comes into existence once you find yourself in life...Do what it needs to acheive your goal. Listen to your interal voice and seek for what you want to do rather lingering in a dilemma of life. There is no Right/Wrong but your self-conciousness.
