Sayami!

I am with you on this one too.

No matter who has been democratically elected to the post, we should have faith in him/her and of course we shall scrutinize as he/she carries out his roles in the near future.

At the present moment, the choice of a Nepali from the Madhesh area should prove to be a good tactic to quell the Madhesi movement and unite all the Nepalese.

Farmer’s family

Born to a farmer’s family in Dhanusha district on February 4, 1948, Dr. Yadav got lucky enough to become a medical doctor. He finished his primary education from his home town and came to the capital for higher studies. He then went to Calcutta and did MBBS from the Calcutta Medical College and later did MD from the Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, in 1983.

Dr. Yadav was also involved in Democratic Association while studying in Calcutta. When he came back to Nepal, he practised medicine for four years.

He also ran a medical clinic in Janakpur for some time before being actively involved in politics. When Girija Prasad Koirala was the Prime Minister, he became Health Minister for three years — from 1991-1994. He was working as the general secretary of the NC before the presidential elections.

Talking to The Hindu, Dr. Yadav (61) said his challenge ahead was to write a timely, democratic constitution. “There are still some armed groups in the Terai region. I will work to streamline them.” Regarding the demand of a single province in the Madhes reigion, Dr. Yadav said, “It should be discussed from the Constituent Assembly,” adding, “We need to adopt a best-suiting model for Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.”

When asked about the danger of regional divide because of this demand, Dr. Yadav said, “The divide was seen because of conflict and dictatorship, but I will work for national sovereignty, unity and solidarity.

This is better and more efficient guy, I guess, among all three Madheshi candidates for the post of president and deserves the post. And, obviously he is better than Giraja and Makune who want to rule over Nepal by hook or by crook until they die.

Hope he will do his best in successfully drafting the constitution and resolving all issues. Unfortunately, vice president is also Madheshi, a dirty figure chosen by dirty politicians ignoring the sentiment of poeple from different sectors such as Mahila, Janajati, Dalit,.... herau aba ke hunchha.

First of all, my thumbs up to Gabbar on this one.  However, I want to add Girija, KP bhattarai , Bamdev and other tauke netas also on your  list of terrorists.  They should also be in the list since they DP'ed  Nepali Jantas and played holi with  their blood. We had democracy in 2007, 2046  and now ........ Which one should we believe in?

I'm both happy and sad for Dr. Yadav's Presidency. I'm happy in the sense this might be the sign of peace and beginning of  New Era.  I'm  also sad because this is also the part of bad political game  and it's obvious that whoever won would be from Terai.

Dr. Yadav seems like fit candidate academically and politically, but I don't 100% agree with Sayami Ji that this is the right choice. He still has lots of hurdles to cross. I like Obama personally. But the reality is he can never win only by Black votes. He has to be supported by Whites, Hispanics, Asians and other minority population in US.  My point is Dr. Yadav succeeds only if he thinks himself as Nepali  and not only Madhesi and embrace feelings of Nepalese as a whole.

What good did our Country'S division bring in 1815? What more when we were and still are being crushed in our borders by Indian Occupation ? So, if Dr. Yadav can at least stop this issue of regional divide and  educate those who are for it,  it  will be the good start of his presidency for right now. Best of luck Dr. Yadav!

See politics is always dirty, or you may call it drama. India did not want maoist go in power, so india suggested forum to throw the candidacy of jha bahun who is not clean figure and forum did accordingly even without developing any understanding between Madheshi based parties or even without their knowledge. Then, the maoists who claim themselves as the one who can eliminate the corruption from root and who claim themselves to be doing the politics of inclusiveness would not be obviously supporting forum's candidate for sure as India knew it.

so every time there is a drama under another drama. tei pani testo kehi ramro kaam pani garchhan ki bhanera parkhane ra herne bahek ke nai garna sakinchha ra? perhaps you have the same mentality; otherwise, you would be already in Nepal fighting for the good cause of people instead of spending time to drop your disappointment here on the Sajha.

Now India says "Nepal invaded India" in love making it's the same thing either husband on the top or wife. India doesn't have to invade Nepal, they can say, Nepal invade India. Nepal still be in India

Let's hope for the best. I think he is better than Ramraja. He against of 'Ek Madhes Ek Prades'.
