India says it is ready work with Maoists
While the Maoist take lead in the constituent assembly results, the Indian government has reacted that it is ready to work with the former rebels.
According to Indo-Asian News Service, Indian envoy to Nepal Shiva Shankar Mukherjee said, "We will go by the wishes of the people of Nepal and accept their mandate. India will actively work with whichever party forms the government in Nepal."
India was also the first to welcome the constituent assembly elections held on April 10, followed by international communities including UN, China and the US.
However, the US government has not removed the Maoists from its terrorist watch list. nepalnews.com ia Apr 13 08
