Mehboob Alam is nepal's sahid afridi.I have seen this guy play and had in fact paled with him at tribhuvan university ground .this guiy has a tremednous bat lift and also has a long grip and do bat witha heavy bat, if he can work in his defence especially the one with the ball with the seam that just moves out of the off stump he can be dangerous.

even if we do win this tournament and make it to ireland, i dont see a whole lot of chances to making it to WI in 07. remember the last WCQS? nepal was a 'second tier' team, and that just made it next to impossible for us to even have a chance. we lost to namibia (who won the whole damn tourney) and that one loss was enough to keep us out
i hope that the ICC dosent have that unfair two-tier system in the WCQS in ireland, but if you know anything about the ICC, you know theyre gonna do the same stupid shit again. we'll be in the second tier, and will have to perform a miracle to qualify
and frankly, i dont see that happening. nepal has no experience on seaming pitches, the likes of which we are sure to see in ireland. our spinners will not be as effective. our top order has a penchant for collapses. one bad match is enough to keep us out, and as the nepali national team showed against PNG, a bad match is just a matter of time for our guys
i sure hope to hell they do enough so we can see nepal in west indies, but i sure as hell am not gonna put any money on it

yeah..it's understandable that it's difficult for nepal to get an entry into word cup -07...
my prime concern is winning this series in malaysia..after that, i think i can put my money on nepal to be among the top 5 out of 12 countries...

but right now, the concern is to win against fiji and then PNG/quatar..

Actually, it's unfortunate that we could not make it directly to IRELAND during ICC trophy..
