It's quite surprising to know that the founders of Communist Party of Nepal were Newars. But current CPN leaders turned out to be opportunists. HOwever, Mohan Vaidya of Moaists Group who is currently under the custody in India is not a newar... actually he is Mohan Pokharel or something brahmin surname, from the near by village of Lilamani pokharel, etc. I think as the bahuns entered the party, the CPN degraded quite a bit.. and one faction who started strocities is Maoists group. They are born Brahmin, and they are ready to murder people... why?

KATHMANDU, Dec 11 - One of the founding members of Communist Party of Nepal, Niranjan Govinda Vaidhya died Friday evening.
Vaidhya, 82, who was suffering from Blood Cancer for a long time was undergoing treatment at B&B hospital.

Vaidhya along with Pushpa Lal Shrestha, Narayan Bilash Joshi and Nara Bahadur Karmacharya established Nepal Communist Party on 22 April 1949. (snn)

PS bro aka puskhar samarthak......Bro u seens to be hardcore commuinst specially CPN UML. My condolence is with them and may lord bless to come over such a taurma of grief. I am myself big fan of Pushalal and was active member once. I have contributed lot for Madan bhandari while his campagin to win against the Krishna prasad bhattarai. It is really pity to see CPN UML now specially rein by bam dev and Makune. We have lost great guys liek Man Mohan Adhikari, Puspha lal, jib raj asshrit, Madan Bhandari and now Mr. Vaidya. Mr. Vaidya had lot of conribution in formation of dream party.

I don't think the founder leaders of CPN those days in 1949 really wanted to go for hardcore communism. All they wanted was equality in every aspect of life for the people then. They continued to stick to their motto and principles. But we don't see that in present leaders. Newars of Valley still live by the principles as they have acquired exemplary development within the valley, they were far progressive than other nepalese at that time. That makes a difference in the human natures.

there is not one particular faction of nepali society that is to blame for the current situation... everyone has contributed to the deterioration of the country's morale... the problem with people is that they keep dispersing the blame on others, and try to maintain a sense of superiority... their dispicable hypocricy is flagrantly apparent... everyone, especially the prominent factions, bahuns/chetris/newars/etc are responsible for the country's distruction or well being, and should promote unity instead of the disgusting ethnic intolerance... or we will have situations like in india with infighting among our own people...

it is very dissapointing to encounter views like pushkar_whatever's... hope not many of us feel that way, and continue to fight against proliferation of such ideas...

I was not sure whether its good to post anything in this thread. The initiater
of this thread dishonored Mr. Niranjan Govinda Vaidhya by writing the things
he wrote in his first posting. He should read it and realize it. No one among
well recognized Sajhaitites will join this thread because its beginning is so bad
that no one wants to indulge in this wrong thread. I will not even write my
condolence in this thread as long as there is no new thread that really honors
Niranjan Govinda Vaidhya as a Nepali leader of Nepalis.
