It is possible,
however, someone needs to press US government (Trump, USCIS, Cogressmen or Senators) to deem Covid-19 extra-ordinary circumstance, which it is; and have them immediately auto extend visitor or any other relevant visa...for free or at reduced price. Right now it costs $370 per person.
USCIS could auto extend the visa by posting alert in DHS or uscis website, without doing anything else, just like they did it for TPS, and this pandemic is probably much bigger than TPS issue for most countries.
Who can do this ?
Anyone who can call or send letters to senators/ Congressmen/
Use twitter/ fb/ instagram tagging trump/ senators/ or any celebrities or social influencer
Another possibility is that - (this is even better)
