Hi everyone, I have heard , people who are using TPS EAD not need to pay the social security, medicare taxes from their salary because it is just a temporary status and we are not a citizen or green card holder. Please provide me any information you know or links. I really need to have the information ASAP. Thanks,

Yes that's what I thought but I am not finding online information or proof. Cause I need to give it to my manager. They don't accept verbal info.

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/aliens-employed-in-the-u-s-social-security-taxes "The exemption does not apply to nonimmigrants in F-1, J-1, M-1, or Q-1/Q-2 status who change nonimmigrant status to a status which is not exempt or to a special protected status." The taxes have to be paid.

This depends on if you are a permanent resident for tax purposes or not. You can determine your status here. http://www.form1040nr.com/Residentstatus.php If you a permanent resident for tax purposes, you have to pay all the taxes as a permanent resident (even though you are not a permanent resident).
