Status doesnot affect TPS eligibility. All you had to do was be present in US when TPS was announced. For H1 you are eligible to file if you have bachelors degree in the related field and have EAD to work. Being chosen in H1 is another mahabharat. Guys are going direct GC route now, as the processing takes about 2 years max.

I was out of status before I got my EAD from TPS. How would you go for GC from here ? Can you explain a little bit ?
