I am planning on vacationing with my parents in New York this June. Is there a cheap, convenient but comfortable inn, motels or hotels close to the main focal point of the city/ close to public transportation? I am looking for something as low as $60-$100 per night. Please let me know. Thank you in advance!!

Try this out. There is a nepali brother working in that hotel. I paid the full price in the evening and he showed up at night. He mentioned that if he was there , he would have done 50% cheaper. I paid 200 for two nights. It was 5 months back though.

He works at night so you might wanna call at night and ask if there is any nepali working in that inn.

What did you choose at the end? I already bought tickets for my husband and me and we are flying to NYC in August. We used http://new-york.hotelscheap.org/ to find hotels and I can only recommend them, we chose the W hotel. It isn't very cheap, but I've stayed at the W hotel in LA and the service was excellent.
