Hello guys, My brother is a soccer player. He was playing soccer back Nepal in A division at the age of 19. Now, he's studying at Missouri university where they don't have any programs for men soccer. He is a young talented soccer player and I don't want his talent get wasted. I talked to couple of schools and recruiters and they asked me to send videos which we couldn't get. We have lots of paper documents and pictures which can prove he's good at soccer. I'm trying to get his admissions for fall semester 2014 to any other colleges/ university offering him good soccer scholarship preferring California and Texas. So, how do I get started to find him right college? Please guys your response will be valuable . Thank you .

You need to find a NCAA Division I college/university, or a small private university.....Division II and III don't offer athletic scholarships... you then go to their website, contact the assistant coach, head coach or athletic director...if they reply, you will probably get scheduled for a tryout... for the new players coming in for fall, they will probably hold a camp in the summer... Be realistic with your expectations....In Division I schools we are talking about players who will probably play professional soccer later on (MLS or national team)...

Take him to soccer field and make some videos of him with shooting skills or dribbling skills. Videos of sprinting and scoring with one-touch will work best as well.

I could be wrong but I believe a student that's ever been paid to play a sport is ineligible to play for colleges on scholarships.

Its a easy job, go to state university website and their sports page, you will find out if they have a soccer team or not, ask them the process to be in the team. Every year they do team selection process and if your brother get selected they will give him free tuition as a scholarship. goodluck
