I'm trying to convert everyone into being a vegetarian, as I despise people who eat meat. Eating meat is wrong, any form of animal cruelty is wrong. They are animals, they have feelings just like us humans do. Put yourself in the same position as these poor animals, would you like it to get chopped up and have no say in it? Watch this video of KFC's treatment of chickens, its just despicable: - http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=pilgrims_web We're on the top of the food chain, we should be better than trying to harm animals with feelings. And please, spare me all that crap about the structure of our teeth. People who eat meat are so selfish to give up meat. Vegetarianism and Veganism are both perfectly healthy lifestyles. Its not even like you have to go out of your way to be one, you find plenty of different foods at restaurants and grocery stores to suit your needs as a vegetarian. Go to this site to read about the treatments of animals: - http://www.factoryfarming.com Don't be selfish, give up meat. Eat more plants, you can get plenty of nutrition from them. Thanks.

NoMeatFan: Being a Vegetarian myself I can relate how you feel but I think most of the meat lovers are so addicted to eating meat everyday that they can't imagine going wihtout it. BEfore I quit meat I was such a hardcore eater myself...but after I quit, it gave me the best feelings ever..I feel as great as ever..I dont need to worry about all the problems that is involved after eating meat...and one more thing guys...Once you stop eating meat and the lust is over there is no looking back..I dont get tempted by the smell of BBQ or chicken momo...I am so over it and if you have the will and courage you will also get over it!! One more thing guys...even if you can't give up meat..try to focus on lean stuffs..like chicken breast..turkey...and for you who think meat is the only source of protein then you are wrong..Vegetables tend to have better quality protein than meats..and are equally effective...for eg..Soya Beans, Chick Peas..etc etc... Good luck

I dont know why people have so much mis-understanding about eating meat. Eating meat is a chain cycle ...like aakash has said before...and i follow it..i dont feel sorry for anything i eat. If i do that the cycle will be broken...wont it? Another things is, Red meat provides much needed Iron to your body. After all ...its a choice for one to eat meat or not.. If u choose to become a veg then it your wish.

nomeatman, After watching that, i really feel sorry for all the animals. They shouldn't be made to go through all the torture !! and I, FROM NOW ON, SHALL NEVER EAT ANY MEAT PRODUCTS, OR ATLEAST I WILL TRY NOT TO. you have changed me, man, and i will try to make everyone aware of this. and, all the non-vegetarians, eat all the meat you can find, and hopefully, you won't FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT !! (even after watching and knowing what's really going on !!)

Nice piece of advise there which I guess I will heed to as soon as I turn 70. And for being a non-vegetarian, if I get despised by some one out there, I dont give a damn. It just makes my balls laugh when people bring up this crap logic of animals having feelings as we humans do. Of course they do..........its the level of feelings/intelligence? that matters. Imagine one human and one goat who are about to be slain........the human would be wallowing in dispair, saying that his life is important and asking for forgivenenss and asking his government to pull out the troops while the goat would be drawing saliva looking at the green grass that has just been offered. When the guy is eventually slain, its his family that will suffer and bear the brunt. On the other hand, its life as usual for the family of the goat. Ok, if this does not convince you, you might as well say that plants have feelings too and we should not be eating plants too. After all, they may have kids and relatives too. So, lets stop eating meat as well as plants ......but you go first. In the meantime, I need to go and buy some chicken and minced lamb. Cheers

lets take it with another approach, we eat meat that r commercially produced, that means involving breading n making it ready for meat its all humans's activity, so if we stop eating then surely their number is going to decline anyway, animals do have feelings may not be as good as us in sharing it but I agree they do have it..but still the question is we r making them for our own use n their destiny(like the chickens used comercially) is to serve us for food..so lets not put emotions n our habits on the same place. Studies has proved that we have intestinal system as that of a chimpange(corr.sp)not as that of a dog but the same studies suggests that taking limited amount of meat does no harm to us..so cheer up guys....I completely oppose the way they treated chickens in that video ,shud admit that killings in butcher shop in our country is much better than this , atleast we cut off their head rightaway which means less suffering.

Eat , drink and be merry, but not at the cost of killing others. I am a non veg, but I want to get over this meat eating habbit. I feel extremely guilty after i munch meat . I know it is really sad and i feel for the animals. But how can I get over this ? It is too tempting.

Dunno what to say but that is life and life cycle. If they dont feed us, we die and we will destroy the life cycle chain making ourself extinct. Plants is just not enough these days when you have to work physically hard. Sorry I agree with you and that is completely understandable but cant help it. Life goes on!!

People saying its just nature are out of their minds. It was nature at one point in human history. At a point where human beings hadn't developed, but now technology allows us to do the impossible. We can live as vegetarians with out any problems at all. So why won't you guys do it? Why won't you guys save innocent animals? Is it because you all are being selfish about it? I thought us human beings, having such an evolved mind, would be better than this. Yes, animals can't think, we can. THAT is why we should help animals. Because they have no say in having their lives taken. Saying we shouldn't help them because we can think better than them is just a sad excuse. I'm not arguing the fact that meat might be good for the human being. I'm saying, you can successfully turn into a vegetarian, and you SHOULD do so because its very ethical, morally right, and will let you be guilt free. You can live a very healthy life as a vegetarian, just as good as a meat eater's life. And its so easy. Yet, you guys won't do it. Its sad, its very sad.

Mr. Nomeat man, Its one thing to have faith and adhere to what you believe in. Its totally another to make your conviction a public propaganda. If you can make few arguments in support of vegetables, there are thousand more counter-arguments in support of being non veg. As for me, i cannot rely on those grass like meals that the supermodels are prone to. As far as being healthy is concerned, I had a hardcore vegeterian friend in school. He didn't even eat chicken flavored wai wais. As time went by, his body and eyes turned yellowish and the doctor prescribed him to be non veg, saying he would have severe complications later on. So, I don't think your conviction is bulletproof. Ok, Then you have sympathy to all these animals people are breeding to kill. Imagine for a second, if all these meat industry were to shut down, what inflict you would cause on the human population, the workers and the poor class that solely rely on their daily bread from this work. TELL ME HOW U GONNA SOLVE THAT? or its ok for human population to suffer to stand by your principle? so for now, keep your sentiments to yourself sir. As the saying goes, different strokes for different folks. yours truly, Oys~ vegetarian vampire from the meat garden ;)
