She is Stephine Sun from Singapore and she is based in Taiwan. Having grown up in Singapore, which is a multi-cultural society, this is nothing new, may be for outsider it may come as a surprise. There has been lots of fusion music of this sorts even in songs that are sung in Singapore national day.
