Guys! I was just looking for colleges in LA. Any idea, how this university is? Any nepalese there? How is it for international students..especiall y nepalese?

Brucelee What the hell are you talking about? There are many nepalese in California but very few are students. Loyola Marymount is a good university but it will be expensive for an international student. If you are getting a scholorship then it's ok otherwise look for state universities. If you are coming for undergraduate degree then go to community college first. Los Angeles Community college is good and California State university, Los Angeles is also good. You need to have good GPA to find a job so you need to find a university where you could get good grades and work on the side to support yourself. Good luck.

I am planning to do master in Computer Science transferring from Nebraska to LA. In Loyolla Marymount, I find they encourage to apply the graduate international students for scholarship.
Yep, CSU Los Angeles is also good but I missed the winter deadline and its quarter system which comes out to be expensive. ANA_CA, do you know any Computer Science master student over there? I need to decide it quickly beforer the application deadlines run out. The universities I am looking around LA best for nepali students. I am not looking forthe best university like Cal Tech.

dltaimpulse, I don't know anybody doing computer science. Try to get scholorship in loyola mount. You could also try in USC. It's a private university but very easy to get teaching assistance and also scholorships. And it's one of the best university. You could get a job easily if you graduate from USC. So try to get schorlorship. They offer lots of scholorships.

CSU Northridge is ok. I prefer Calstate LA in california state universities. Best one is Calpoly pomona but it is tough to score good grade while working. I don't know any nepalese in CSU Northridge. There are few in Calstate Longbeach.
