Mark my word, Prachanda will be assassinated by none other than his own Maoist party cadres. From his recent comments about his party's ideology being nothing similar to that of chairman Mao or Lenin, it is clear that he is nothing but a power hungry SOB. I am sure it was and is starting to be realized within his own party as well. That is probably why Baburam wanted out few months ago and hey whatever happened to the main military logistic brain behind the PLA, comrade Badal??? Prachanda probably feared a coup against him from his own party and that is why he decided to go public. If not for the fear and power greed there is no way he would come out public under these circumstances considering monarchy and SPA were in a total destruction mode and would have finished each other off leaving only other alternative as the Maoist and giving them the most easy access towards their goal. However, opportunist such as Prachanda and others have used this moment to get their share of the power chair and an easy way out (because underground jungle life is fun for only so much... I guess), but what they have failed the realize is that the guns they gave and the brains they washed to have young mind be totally manipulated for their fake and worthless ideology will come down hunting for their own heads one day if they didn't lived up to the promises.

After all this has taken place, Nepal will either be part of India or will be ruled by military generals like in Pakistan and many other African countries. I mean what other alternative will be left?? Don't see any....enlighten me know if you do.

IMI, You can not simply discourage them from renouncing their violent activities (I know you don't believe or you act like you don't believe them doing so in the future).

i would love to see some royalist mind coming up with just a single idea that is going to work to stop further bloodshed (of ordinary people, and brothers and sisters in army and police forces, even if you don't like to see stopping of SPA activists and moaists dying). Otherwise, you are left with no option other than "licking the maoists boots as SPA is doing now" (in your words).

As far as the continuation of violent activities while in cease fire and on table of dialogues, I believe that they will completely refrain of doing such activities if we continue encouraging them. Just think that lower ranked Maoist activists can not tolerate few activities going against them and they also extort though those activities are controlled in a greater extent after ceasefire since they were used to do whatever they liked to do before. They are still equiped with weapons, you know the "Shakti ko Unmad"? But, I believe that they will also get used to in new environment as time passes, it may take some months though.

Maoist are not going stop violence if their demands are not met. And on their demands, all I see is that they are just asking for their rights. I belive they had to take the action they did because they had no other choice.

The poor villagers have been waiting and waiting for government to do something for them, but what do they get in return? Their lives getting more and more miserable. All that the high personnel in govt do is eat the money and share it with their cronies. And there could be thousands of law made, but the lawmakers themselves eat ghus. And the king in the other hand spends millions on his luxury. Does anyone has any idea how this problem could be solved? The royalists should have some genuine ideas...

You guys are just saying that Prachanda should be crushed. OK, but what next? Will you be able to afford losing at least one more life from your family (because if that happens, royalists will be the target in their next phase violent activities)? Exactly thaha payen..it is hard for some of the people to understand..they think are against peace process and think they can crush prachanda..if you think about crushing look at the other country that is going through civil war..it is not going to finish.....
for now peace process is good...i cannot say how prachanda with SPA rules..nobody can predict 100 percent but for now peace is important..some people always wine that they killed lots of people and rich people are the target...if there is no sollution then there are thousands of people who are displaced from their villages...if there is at least peace they can go to their own villages...due to conflict the poor people in the villages are the one to suffer....
Everybody knows how many peple got killed during these years..if you don't want any peace talk then there will be more bloodshed..more people will displace...and about extortion....even people who are victim of extortion wants peace..do you want to know why..can you afford paying them everytime..at least peace process will bring some hope.. .....

Why are we mistaken with what we have right now is peace?? Are you kidding me?? Peace comes under "unity" and we are more divided now than any other time in the history of our nation.
