has anyone GC holder sponsored for their sibling for student visa?? My brother applying for student visa for master program., His visa got rejected twice saying he does not have strong financial support. I am GC holder and have over 100k on my account. Can i send letter to us counselor that i can sponsor for my brother studies?? has anyone done that?? Please share it

The following is my student visa experience.

Visa Officer: Hello, How are you ?
Me; I am good and you ma'am?
Visa Officer: Pass me the I 20, passport and your high school transkript.
Me; Sure here you go ma'am.
Visa Officer: Where did you study your high school and what was your grade ?
Me; I did my high school from xyz college and secured 84 percentage which is considered 4/4 on a gpa scale.
Visa Officer: Nice, which colleges have you applied to ?
me: xyz, abc, tyu, ghu colleges.
Visa Officer: were you accepted in all ?
me: Only 3
Visa Officer: Can you name them ?
me, xyz, abc, tyu
Visa Officer: Out of all these colleges why this ?
me: Because it offers a concrete and practical engineering course which will help me to advance my career and country.
visa officer: Can you please elaborate please.
me: Sure. My field of study is Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I want to study this subject because I want to end up in the hydro power sector and tap into the unlimited water sources in our country. For me to accomplish this feat I will need practical education which only u.s.a offers.
visa officer: Why can't you do engineering here ?
me: For me to enhance myself I want to interact with different cultures and get ideas in a global platform.
visa officer: okay, you have it mapped out. What was your SAT and TOEFL Score ?
me: xxxx, 109.
Visa Officer: What about your funding?
me: My dad will sponsor my education. My dad does xyz. He also into the restaurant business here.
Visa Officer: Your visa is approved. Out of all the people I have interviewed today you are the only person who could speak good english and give true answers.
me; Thanks. How I proceed from here?
Visa Officer: Go to counter xyz and pay your fare.
me: Thank You once again. You have a good day ma'am
visa officer: you too

Tips:
Know what your goal is and how usa education system can help you.
When you give information about funding maintain eye contact. If you fail to keep eye contact, it looks as if you are lying.
The system is designed in such a way to read human body language. So, if you have to lie, lie confidently.
be different from the rest.
be calm.
Do your research.
Wear good clothes. ( You might say you own Rsxxxxxxxxxx but dress cheap, that is a major throw away) , But don't dress in a suit. it gives an impression that you are building a persona.

If you are a genuine student you should not have problems answering the education questions.

For Undergraduate Studies, an 18 year old can give shitty answers and still get a visa because the visa officer knows an 18 year old is confused with his or life.

For graduate studies, A student has to give really good answers because the level of maturity expected is high as opposed to an 18 year old as he has college experience. Also narrow your point of study and build on it.  Also have strong ties to what you will study to your country and career back home.

He has no chance if he was rejected twice. Probably he didn’t have funding from college or scholarships or he didn’t impress the consular at first. No matter you have 100K or 1 million , this will show more desperation. May be finish Masters in Nepal and get funding for PhD and apply again.

USA nepal, don't lie too them.they already know the reality of nepali students.Everybody loves confidence.just tell them confidently that my brother will sponsor me.i will study there and if I get opt,h1b ,greencard etc I will work in big company .make a lot of money and return back or settle there and contribute to the us economy.if I don't get h1b I will return back immidietly.consoler will like your honesty and plan and give you visa...
