I am so glad someone asked this. I'm on TPS too and I applied for a Canadian visa as well. It was like 4..5 months ago. The process was so simple that I was amazed. Kudos to the Canadian government!!

There's an official government website (I think it was canada dot ca or something like that). You can fill out a questionnaire and they will tell you what kind of visa you need and how to apply. You can upload all your docs online. Then after a week or two, I got an email saying please mail us your passport for further steps, with a return envelope. I did that. I sent my passport to a California address (maybe their consulate office). Apply gare dekhi visa laayera ghar maa aauda samma, I think it took me a little over 1 month. Trust me, it's very smooth.

Maile chai kaha basney bhanera sodhcha bhanera euta hotel ma booking garera receipt ni upload garya thye. Tyo reservation pachhi cancel gare. :D Mero goal chai TPS maa huda nai Canada tira visa (H1, F1, etc.) laauna jaana parla ki bhanera visa laai raakhya ho. Mero passport 2024 ma expire huncha. Visa ni expiration date samma kai deko chha, unlike for 1 to 2 yrs. I was surprised. Haha....

Good luck!!

I forgot the total cost. Sorry. But I think it was like $60 or $70 money order, plus return envelope paid to USPS. So, I'd say it was like a 100 bucks, or less.

@statuspidit Did you also upload your Advance parole along with your application or just the TPS approval? I'm planning to visit my friend in Canada during Thanksgiving but I haven't received approval notice for my Advance Parole. I would really appreciate your answer.

nash_shres bro,

Mero tyo bela samma TPS ko AP aai sakya thyena (ahile ta haat mai cha ni). So, no. I had not uploaded AP. They may still approve your Canadian visa if you say family visit. But my suggestion is, don't leave the US unless you get your AP. Good luck brother!!

@daisynepali do you have friends or family in Canada who can write a letter stating that they are inviting you to visit them for dashain, tihar or english holidays etc, then that's all you need on the invitation side,
US Visa ko lagi did you make a relationship document? I made mine from the VDC in the village stating i'm son of so and so so yedi cha bhane fill out the application and upload the relationship document in pdf.

@statuspidit thank you :) I will start my application soon i'm picking up Thanksgiving as reason to visit my friends up in canada

Canada tourist visas are approved in 10 days.
Application fee is $100.
No need for medical exams. But, because Canada has free healthcare, you need to purchase health insurance for your stay and submit it along with your application to show that you won't be a burden on the Canadian government if you get sick while visiting here.

@statuspidit bro and @mickthesick:
Did you add document such as apartment lease, car ownership, employment letter to prove you will be back after visiting Canada?

While applying for CAD tourist visa, did you all have to do biometrics?
