Nobody is sure about Nepal's TPS. If it gets extended, min. 6 months, 1 year, or max 18 months, Congress will decide. If it doesn't get extended or let's say canceled, TPS beneficiary will have min 6 months, 1 year, or max. 18 months (depending on the Congress decision), to leave the country or change it to another legal non-immigrant status. (you can adjust or change your status only if you have legal status or wasn't out of status before TPS)

advice_7 bhai, if you re so worried about tps, why don't you contact DHS secratary or congressmen ? Send them tweets or post on their facebook that you like many other Nepalese are still affected by the earthquake that occurred in 2015. Based on the report posted by news agencies in ktm, most homes in ktm are still dangerous to live due to the earthquake.

TPS extension is decided by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), not Congress. The extension/termination period mentioned above, 6 - 18 months, is correct. Recent extensions (South Sudan, Syria) have been for 18 months. As for terminations, Haiti and El Salvador have received 18 months to get affairs in order whereas Sudan got just 12 months (terminated in September of last year).
Lastly, the decision to extend or terminate is announced 60 days before TPS end date. So for Nepal, we will get a decision by April 24, 2018.
