Hey folks, i am planning to move to bay area in cali. I used to live near albany back in 2007 as a student. I am no more single, so living expenses are preety high. I need some info on living near el cerito, berkeley, richmond, san pablo area. How much should i expect my monthly expenses living in a single bed apartment. Rent, gas, utility bills and grocerry. My budget is around 3k. I live in dallas now. Thinking to move for a good. Help this fellow.

Normally if you live on shared room like 1 bed room apartment ..in 2 bedroom..it will be like normally 1100 to 1200..near Albany berkely Elcerrito(elcerrito ma nepali dherai xaan.) But if you go for single bedroom apartment may be like whole aparment to yourself..may be 1700 jati parxa..pretty expensive like may be 30 dollar per month for electricity..normally..grocery aba depends on you..

Welcome to the Bay Area. If you do not earn more than 120k, do not come with family. If you earn more than 120k, you would love your life in Bay Area. Your life standard would improve. If you plan to buy a house, do not think anything less than 600k.

Its only me and my wife moving. She is in beauty industry and willing to invest on salon market. Not intend to live luxury life but just simple living. Tired of dallas. Our combined income should be around 100k. Not buying house soon. Have our own vehicle. Hopefully everything will be all right
