KAHI NABHAKO JATRA NEPAL MA.

I have heard this beautiful song -

"सय थरी बाजा एउटै ताल,

सय थरी गो डा एउटै चाल्।"

BUt when i think of today's Nepal's situation, I want to edit this song -

"सय थरी बाजा सय थरी ताल,

 सय थरी गोडा लात हान्न थाल।"

Our Vice-President (of Nepal) took the oath in Hindi language. We know that we have people in Nepal who speak in Hindi, and most of the Nepalese people understand this language. We respect other languages also. ANd we should not forget that there are a lot of other languages in Nepal along with this Hindi language. Someday we will have Newar or Rai or Tharu or Chepang or Other language speaking high official. WHat do we expect from them? IS that OK if they took oath in their language? What if in the CA meeting everybody speaks their own language as Upendra Mahato and other members of FORUM (MRPF) spoke in Hindi in CA meeting. Probably most of the members understood (i guess) what they were saying in hindi, that's why it was not a big deal to understand. What if Prakash Man Sing speaks in Newari in CA meeting? Do those members of FORUM (MRPF) undersatand what he is saying? It will be huge chaos if every member speaks in their own language.

There must be one language to unite all those people. And no other than Nepalese language can take this place. Hindi language can never be a National language!!! Never!!! We need to make our language and identity far different than INDIAN.

I hope Hindi speaking Nepalese understand what Unity means!

- Lorenzo

i agree.
to speak the truth, i guess we all LOVE hindi songs and are ready to speak the same with any hindi speaking fellow - be him/her be an indian or even a nepali brother or sister from madhesh. but because hindi is not the official language of nepal, it should not be used in official places and ceremonies.
also talking about the dress code...as like the language, there must be one dress during official (by which i mean governmental) ceremonies, let it be daura suruwal or dhoti or bakkhu- the goal should be the meaning of unity, focusing on the essence of convergence of all hands and brains.
lets not fight over petty things people...all it does is destroy our own peace of mind...and the great, solemn brotherhood that has been existing among us since time immemorial.
peace
