I have dell with 40 GB hard drive and 2.2 GHz speed and 512 mb memory desktop.  It did not accept 512 or 1 gb memory.

Every time when I turn on my computer it gives me this message ccTrust.dll file not found.

I click ok on it and computer runs but very slow. I upgraded XP home to XP professional, did not worked out. Problem remains the same.

I have downloaded Window defender and MacAfee virus software still the spyware shows some infectious. Should I take this spyware off??  Defender says it is running normal and so does the MacAfee.

I was trying to reformat the hard drive but I have tons of pictures saved under EasyShareKodak. It does not let me burn the cd and do not wish to loose those pictures.

Appreciate your advices.

looks like your system files has been deleted when you were uninstalling some program or this file has been taken away by a virus.

try downloading the .dll file as kooldude says...

if this does not work out......FORMAT  the damn computer.....

thats the file for accessing symantec components so  if you have norton anti virus i thiink its causing it as it might have been deleted. so just reinstall  norton antivirus or uninstall symantec and norton  from add and remove programs if you have any other antivirus. i think this will fix it. or you can uncheck the symantec (if you see it checked in startup list ) on msconfig.

To do so

you can type msconfig after opening run from start. and go to startup

Start>Run>type msconfig>Startup

Nepwanted: You hit the bull's eye. You are absolutely right. I had Norton antivirus, internet security and other program. I deleted the antivirus program and downloaded with McAfee but I left the other program keep running.

Now, should I delete all these security programs, download refresh. I tried to do that too, but had to face couple hurdle, may be the updated files were unable to delete even from the add and remove program.

As Kooldude advice, I downloaded the booster program and shows 715 errors to be fixed, only 15 of them were fixed rest needed to register. Which means 30 bucks. I heard we may able to get those program and post here if I find the web site.

I will do as directed and will post the result. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

Found these on  sites, might help , if u dont want to use norton again

On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Run.

2
In the Open box, type following text:

msconfig
3
Click OK.
4
In the System Configuration Utility, on the Startup tab, uncheck ccRegVfy.exe.
5
Click Apply > OK.
6
Restart the computer to verify correct operation.

If u want to install norton again then reinstall and see if it works, if not then do following

In WindowsXP open Search, check Advanced Options, check al
submenus (Search hidden files, etc.) & locate the Following Files:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ccPasswd.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ccTrust.dll

Rename them to:
ccpasswd.dlx
cctrust.dlx

Through Start/Programs/Norton Antivirus, run Live update.

Reboot the Computer. (Disregard messages from Norton Antivirus).

Update the Norton Antivirus again, Now the comon Client updates is
larger File.

Reboot & delete ccpasswd.dlx & cctrust.dlx
