Elections are not perfect even in mature democracies. Forget about Nepal, even in the US, there are incidents of irregularities - remember Dead People voting in FL? But few irregularities does not change the tone of the election. So plz stop complaining. No one is perfect, and that includes all of us including. We should laud the Nepalese people for showing the world that democracy can work even in a poor, under-developed country. So far so good, but what's next, that's the issue.

Election are fair if the other competing parties don't complain about the legitimacy of the result with I don't think is happening here. Both NC and UML leaders seem to take responsibility for the loss... Some irregularities do occur and that does not mean the whole election process is corrupt...

What do you think Maoist doing this? It looks to me it happened in somewhere in Tarai where Gachchadar and Girija used to get 100% voting. No booth capturing this time, at least somebody voting there."Jasko shakti Usko Bhakti" Or "Bhag shanti Jai Nepal'?

MadDoGG, nice one man! Nothing new about the process at all...Told all skeptics here in sajha this is how it was right from the start and I hope they've finally OPENED thier eyes. These fuggers expect to see the same degree of democratic values in the West happen back home!! WTF?? Don;t they know that it totally constrasts what we know as democracy back home. This ain't no Aristotlain society...And there is just too much self interests involoved!!

Well the current king did not do any good. His son is a wife-beater who is sauced and high most of the time. Congress and UML did not do shit either. GPK was a failure and nominated his daughter for a minister. The government could not even provide minimum security to the people.
Maoist are the worst of the worse but were able to win and win big even in Kathmandu, this just shows how hopeless the situation is in Nepal. Most of the people that voted for them do not even understand the nature and failed history of communism.
Most of the past leaders that we have had been corrupted and it is very unlikey that it will change in the near future. We will see this problem when we have career politicians running the country. Most of them are busy trying to acheive power and once they do, then are clueless about running the company. Most of them are not even qualified to run a small company but for some reason think that they can run a country.
I just wanted to see how the Maoist will reduce the price of gas or rice especially when crude and rice are making record highs everyday. We would not have been in this situation if the previous governments had acted responsibly.
