I am planning to go to Barbados for the World Cup cricket Final on Apr 28. If someone is planning too, they can join me.
I have researched the whole process, the air ticket, ticket for the match, visa requirements, and cost of hotels. It looks like $1,000 is enough for everything if you stay there for 4-5 days. It's easy to get a tourist visa for carribbean countries and the visa fee is only $50.
I live in Boston and I have some frens at college from Trinidad who can help a little bit.
I am looking for friends to join me, if they are interested and free during the Apr 24-30 week.

hahahahaha....indian cricketers ko pics re? hello? tregor bro is going to attend the FINAL, not some first round 'jhaare' matche!! :P . by 28th of april, indians would be long gone back home and be more 'kaaale' due to the scorching heat of the weather and of the disappointed indian fans. :P

I wish they go home with the Trophy, but with dominating teams they really have to pull themselves up and mind you it's caribbean, balls bouncing up to the shoulder is nothing uncommon. Hopefully there are good pace bowlers in the team and would be delighted to see my team's bat swinging all over the ground. Wishful thinking it is but I did no crime or did I? :-) Btw, I would love to see players of my era playing before I die! ;-)

and given that this is a world cup, you can be sure that we're gonna get pitches that are flatter than geoffrey boycott's granma's pancakes
personally, i like to see a gripping, low-scoring affair over an extended run-fest, but seems like im one of the dying breed

I can see India on 6th place in the ranking. So, keeping lower ranking teams aside, India has only "1/6th" chance of winning the world cup.
Still, 1/6th chance of winning is not bad I guess.. :P

I am a student here and my vacation doesn't start before June, so all I can spend there is 3-4 days or 5, at the cost of my 2 classes. I wish I had at least a week off.
Anyways, I will keep in touch with you and as you mentioned I can get a visa for trinidad and then to Barbados the day after or sometime....
BTW, Do you know anyone in Barbados ??
