Any Info Regardiing Requirements to obtain a SS ### or Pic ID in Texas.....

How many mths Visa is Req??? Can six mths visa in US get a SS##. Visitor visa with 5 years visa from Nepal.

I don't think you can get SSN when you are in a visitor Visa. You will need some kind of job offer to get the SSN and as you know one can't work legally on visitor visa...
I think you should be able to get the Photo ID if your visa hasn't expired yet...

You can't get SSn on a Visitor visa coz yu can't work... you have to have a work permit or H1 or other sort of authorization from the DHS.... if yu dont have one, Find a dessi store

Anybody can get Social security regardless of their visa status.
Visitor visa will do too.Employment is not permitted will be written on it.
But only only on SSCard.
Social Security office does not know if you may work or not.
They are happy to collect tax from you even you work illegally.
They way you will be working illegally paying legal taxes. So it is not illegal.

Go to Public Safety Department office or SS office with your passport with visitor visa and apply for ID and Social Security Card .

best way is to go to the nearest DPS office and ask them personally. I don't see any harm in asking them.

you can apply for i.d. but you can not apply for ssn .for ssn you have to change your's status f1 or h1 after that you can apply for ssn i'am 100% sure.

Only thing is that it is written "Not valid for employment"
