you can check the car history going on carfax.com. At first you have to pay around 20 dollars, but if you check less than 2 car history then you can request for refund and they will refund your payment promptly. Make sure you request within a month and you have not checked more than 2 Car History within that period.
I did that and got my money back and was able to check the history of car i was going to buy. go to www.carfax.com
