If no Citizenship Madheshis can boycott the election- Yadav Need to have unity who wants republic- Bamdev
Filed under: News
Maoist central leader and chief of the Madhesh republican government, Matrika Yadav, on Saturday warned that if Madheshi people did not get citizenship before the election to a constituent assembly, Madheshis would boycott the election.
Addressing a mass meeting organized by the Maoists’ Kapilvastu district committee in Taulihawa, Yadav said that citizenship was the only means to cast vote. If Madheshis were deprived of citizenships, there would be a revolt.
"The Madheshi people should show their bravery not by raising guns but by raising sticks now; the right should be obtained through force of movement and agitation," Yadav said.
People would not feel a sense of peace until there is an end to the problem of discrimination on the basis of caste, race, region and sex in the country.
"We will not make any agreement until Madheshi people enjoy full rights," Yadav said, adding that there should be the guarantee of citizenship, education, health service and employment.
Lauding the eight points of agreement between the seven political parties and Maoists, Yadav said, "We have the challenge of how to settle the problem of merging the Nepalese army and the Jana Mukti Sena." While blaming the international community for supporting monarchy, Yadav, however, said that international human rights bodies were a must in the county.
Maoist central member and deputy in-charge of Gandak Region, Pampha Bhusal said that people don’t want even a ceremonial King. It was a shame that Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala was talking about a ceremonial role for the King at a time when everyone wants a republic.
Bhusal urged the people to nominate only those candidates for a constituent assembly who are in favour of a republic and vote for a republic in the election.
She pointed out the need for international mediation to stop the unsavoury activities of both the Jana Mukti Sena and the Nepalese army in the election to a constituent assembly.Readmore....सबै लेख यहाँ न अटेकोले पुरा लेख पढनु को लागि यहाँ क्लिक गर्नुहोस।

to all Nepalese people.

Nepali government, Political parties and Nepali people must aware of it.

There are so many Indian populations inside Terai Nepal – especially Biratnagar, Bhairawa, Janakpur, Nepaljung etc. Indian population inside Nepal is out-of-control.

It will create so many dangerous problems in Indian domination power in politics, jobless, population, problem in religion, social and cultural, crimes and the most danger in Nepal sovereignty.

It is Indian invasion to Nepal. It is very danger to our future.

Indian population access must be control by VISA systems, or Access ID system, or Daily Access pass system.

There must be some kind of access control system in border of Nepal.

What do you think?

Yes I agree with you nice but our leaders are too stupid to think of this. The Nepalese people also dont care and wont care until its too late so there is no point in giving them warning.

She pointed out the need for international mediation to stop the unsavoury activities of both the Jana Mukti Sena and the Nepalese army in the election to a constituent assembly.
Maoist central advisor Meghraj Gyawali, commander of the fourth division of Krishna Sen Memorial Brigade Munal, central member of the All Nepal Revolutionary Teachers’ Association Bheshraj Bhusal, central member of Tharu Rastriya Mukti Morcha Ram Magal Tharu and central member of the All Nepal Women Association (R) Shova Kattel also expressed their views on the occasion.

Gautam roots for a republic

CPN-UML leader Bamdev Gautam today said the only agenda with which people are going to election to a constituent assembly shortly is to establish a democratic republican order and not to “torment the constituents” with options like “constitutional monarchy” and “ceremonial monarchy.”
The remarks come hot in the heels of even the CPN-Maoist supremo Prachanda seeing nothing wrong in everyone going to the election with their respective political agenda yesterday while PM GP Koirala has openly come out in favour of “ceremonial monarchy.”
“Talking about giving monarchy a ceremonial role is to undermine the mass uprising which amounts to insult to the martyrs. Be very clear, we are going to election to constituent assembly with the sole purpose of establishing a democratic republican order,” said Gautam at a function in the capital.
Gautam, who is known for his strident views on monarchy, also said that “if we are looking forward to building a new Nepal, take it from me this is not going to happen as long as
there is a King around. That is the challenge confronting us now.” He also said the government has people who are “adding to the challenges.”
Criticising the remarks coming from PM Koirala who had said the “NC will go for a ceremonial monarchy and will convince others in this connection”, Gautam pointed out the need to have unity among all those who want to have republican order in Nepal. “The instance of Koirala saying there is a need for a ceremonial role for the King is one of the King speaking through others,” Gautam said, adding that the king must declare himself a “common citizen so that he can some day launch a party.”

It is very important to understand and make clear about - What does mean “Madheshi people”?

Are you telling that India people who live and work inside Nepal “”Madheshi people”? or Just true Nepalese people who live in Terai Nepal?

If true Nepalese, then it is right to ask Nepali citizenship. Otherwise, you must be very carefull what are you telling, speaking and doing?

I agree with you Hari Sharma that we should not allow citizenship to the India people working in Nepal, but do you mean by nepali people living terai just to those who hails from Pahad.

Do you feel like truely nationalizing those non-pahadi people living in terai for many many and many years … Many people in Nepal takes the term “nepali” as those who lives in Pahad or at least whose ancestors had lived once in Pahad… Do you share this thinking…? How many nepali you think does not share this belief?
