All I can say is I agree with FIREFLY(too hard to spell in nepali) I met lots of friends I hadn't seen in ages. The concert and the dances are just side show, if you like go if not stay in the lobby and drink. The main thing is we all got to meet our long lost friends and families, it is a gathering to catchup with our past in this busy life in America. Why complain, you complain every year yet you come every year isn't it an irony. typical nepali mentality, can complain but can't give a reason to fix the problem. Eveyone knows the problem but who has the answer. Next year in NY I say save your skin, if you are an organizer reading this I would like to see SWAT team there not just regular cops. This is a prediction, there is going to be lot more fights and brawls in NY and you regular folks will complain more than ever. I don't complain or expect anything from ANA. All I care is out of my busy life in the states I take a week's vacation and go to ANA to see my friends and drink with them, that is the most enjoyable moment for me than anything during the 3 days. I don't go to ANA expecting to see a organized concert like PINKFLOYD with lights and sound. what do you expect to see for $25. Even if you go to clubs these days full of starangers will charge you $20 and up to get in, if you go to a Rock Concert it is $50 and above for an average band. You want to see U2 or Stones be ready to fork up $100 and more, $25 was cheap. Even if they were bad and they sucked, you should be proud you are in America and you got to see some Nepali Bands play for the nepali croud. If you didn't like it that much why don't you whiners form your own band and play in NY and I want to see if you can perform as good as UNWRITENKARMA band did. All I am saying is DID you HAVE FUN at ANA? Did you meet your Friends from nepal whom you hadn't even imagine to see ever??? in the end all matters is you meet your friends and drink, you get a boy or a girl and you hook up, some end up in bed and some end up marrying!!!!! it is all about meeting nepali people. I have to give a big shout out to the guys in DALLAS for a superb weekend thoug it was hot as hell, I loved it, hell with the performers, they tried their best and gave their best. I am hoping NY will be a blast, this time I won't have to pay for the plane fare, which I can spend in drinks, so all you nepali dajubhaididibahini's look our for me in NY, if nothing I will atleast try to please you by offering a drink. You wanna get drunk look for me. Cheers with Nepal Beer's

hello all, people want to generalize each event......... let's say you have visited to London, once you back your friends and families could ask "how the trip was??????? I post MSG to know about concert, every one who has posted MSG to explain the feeling. Expressing feelings can't be complains, but judgments. Every one is here expressing own experience after returning from ANA trip,05. Yes, it is true people made the weekend vacation, spent a great deal of money, that is not a point. point is how much you enjoyed....... It is the biggest Nepalese gathering event, so called ANA convention. Any one can run a program, but always need to know the word standard........but question "was that karma band suitable staying hours and hours and hours to waist time, it seems like people were there waiting with disinterested desire, at least they wanted to catch a good one befor returning home......... it doesn't mean that there is something better than nothing. Seems like that concert was for particular Texans Neprican to test Karma B. not all.

To NepaliGurl, Sorry, your previous thread was confusing. Are you trying to emphasize on how much you spent or how much you enjoyed? BTW, did you take your Balance Sheet to record every dollar you spent? I'd like to review the cost benefit analysis. Also, can you please interview for the bookkeeper position for my company? You may very well qualify. To Gallant, And the point to your gibberish is......? Clarify please.

bugtraq, Hell ya, everybody makes a record of the money he/she spent unless you are a rich guy/gal and dont care about your money. I dont make B/S for every penny i spent but this was a large amount and i knew what i spent in Dallas... My point out here is " I met my old frens as a result of which i was very excited" BUT ANA sucked and i am not happy about it cause i spent tremendous amount of money and was not satisfied at all: "CONCERT SUCKED AND SO DID THE CULTURAL PROGRAM"! Well thanks for your offer but i am not interested in working at your company. ~nepaligurl~

I was one of the exhibitors at the ANA convention. I am going to disclose the company i was representing, but let me tell you that our company paid more than $1500 to sponsor a few events at ANA2005. When we were actually at the expo, they failed to announce our name at various functions as sponsors (they had promised they would do so according to the contract). They also asked us to pay MORE money just to enter the concert hall !! ! I thought that was ridiculous because I still dont understand WHAT they charged our company $1500 for. Overall, as a Nepali I was able to enjoy the company of long lost friends and have fun, but that was NOT because of ANA. Basically I would like to give more credit to MARRIOT that ANA. They were being so understanding of the roudy Nepalis I still can't believe it. Of course they were making money, But at least they were not Cheaters like the NST(Texas society) organisers. According to my estimates(we have the data from Marriot on how many Nepalis actually attended), ANA probably made almost $500,000 (half a million) dollars from Nepalis at that convention, not counting sponsorships. I really believe and I think many nepalis here will agree with me that all that money will really go into the hands of corrupt heads of the ANA. Till this date, ANA really hasn't been able to give a voice or do anything worthwhile for the Nepalis who so blindly support their only major organization in the Americas. All they do is reserve a few halls at a hotel and let Nepalis party. There is NO REASON they should charge $25 just for a name tag and cheat their sponsors. If you want more details on my findings please email me at savingnepal@gmail.com

Nepaligurl, I am sorry to hear that you have suffered a lot, the same way lots of Nepalese have wasted their time and money, ,,,,,,,,,, Of course 1300 bucks a great deal of amount for spending. in contrast, you could not get ANA program as you expected.......... Hopefully Next year you will enjoy a great deal as you expect.......... I live close to NY, I might do my best to help to 2006s organizers. As you said, People were screaming, throwing beer bottles, coke, bad sound system, drunks were roaming on stage, no punctuality, and unpopular singers (karma band) were the root cause of program's failure....... I am sorry to hear that. MSG TO Bugtraq........ Do you have a CPA firm or what (do you know, a CPA or accountant counts hundreds of thousands and million dollars, but finally they have to wait for two weeks to get an embarrassing check that is not sufficient for paying rent in city apartment). Thank you for offering a bookkeeping job (do you know a big cry from little hole). It seems like you took a course of Accounting I and II, could you tell me what kinda company do you own, 4 yrs of exp is good enough to volunteer for your company. If so, let us know, if you use any software: spreadsheet, QuickBooks programing, Peachtree........I could do your payroll, account payable as well as receivable, bank reconciliation, taxes and necessary accounting job. It is free for your company........ I could come there and set up all manual to computerize accounting system........ Let me know. It is why Nepalese gather there to interact with their old friends, enjoy watching events, find out ability or skilled people in various field, get helped or help to someone, provide information, and much more. Were you hiding in hole not to tell that you have lots of money or big company so decided not to tell anyone....... Hahahaha,,,,,,awesome! interviewing the bookkeeper post for your company!!!!!!! it is absolutely funny, lots of American people out there looking for professional job, why not interview them, are you coward to interview to American? If you are not a coward to face with them, why do you come to sajha and reveal your secret something like "An empty vessel sounds much"?

To Nepgurl: Your response - "Hell ya, everybody makes a record of the money he/she spent unless you are a rich guy/gal and dont care about your money. " My response - But only the, should I say, weirdos? post it in a public place. Your response - "My point out here is " I met my old frens as a result of which i was very excited" BUT ANA sucked and i am not happy about it cause i spent tremendous amount of money and was not satisfied at all: "CONCERT SUCKED AND SO DID THE CULTURAL PROGRAM"! My response- Point still contradicts. You must be Mariah Carey's greatest Nepalese fan. Whine Whine Whine. Your response- "Well thanks for your offer but i am not interested in working at your company. " My response- You took that seriously? :)

Sure U2 concert ticket costs more than $100, but remember the hefty pay the artists are demanding. Is $25 justified with the money they pay to DB (DB being the only professional and reknowned artist that night, I bet other artists performed for free)? If for a million-dollar movie project, the movie-goer has his say on whether the movie was good or bad, whether the bucks he spent were justified, though he only paid $10 for the ticket, then we definitely should have our say on $25 we spent on such a show. Well, as for me, I enjoyed the convention fully but comments like one from Gallant is sure helpful for future convention organizers to make it better.

haha... kura ta laamo hundai gayo hau... eh. ANA sucked, no doubt about that. Most of the time, they just tried to rip us off by makin' us pay for something that didn't worth it. But we were smart ones, hehe, we knew how to extract fun out of blistering Dallas heat. The only good thing about ANA was that it gathered all the Nepalese under the same roof and among those Nepalese people, there were friends, lost friends, would-be friends, lost family members, old neighbours, hot girls, ha... cool guys, hazur baa ko saathi ko nati etc. When there are bunch of smart Nepalese under the same roof, they bound to throw some fun (and some punches)... ha. Any given day, the guys playin' guitar and singin' Nepali songs in the lobby, while few folks danced on the marble table, worth more than ANA cultural program. It is about spontaneity. You missed it, your loss -- ha. LAHURE KO AUDIO cd mahango bhaye pani the girl sellin' the cd was HOT hai. haha...

To Gallant: Your response- "Thank you for offering a bookkeeping job (do you know a big cry from little hole)." My response- When did I ever offer you anything? Sorry, can you go back and read it carefully? I REALLY don't know a big cry from little hole?????? Please clarify the gibberish once again. Your response- "If you are not a coward to face with them, why do you come to sajha and reveal your secret something like "An empty vessel sounds much"? " My response- This is way too cute. Is someone actually paying you to be an e-joker? Bet you're making some scrillas outta it!

hey Bq, big cry from little hole......... you cold understand this phrase in many ways. Let's say you often hear in US "you will fully satisfy, if you won't, we will return 100% money back (it is kinda junk business, they cry (in other word kinda lie) a lot to sell a little worth). Man, I don't take all of em' seriously, just damn' talking bro! but I do appreciate to all of you who threw great comments of shit concert, and rotten food......... yes, it was not only cheating, it was robbing to Nepalese by selling MOMO 10 bucks and taking many dollars from every step that people walked. Yes it was ridiculous: MOMO was 5 bucks a plate, once those people left MOMO's apron and hung the volunteers tag, MoMO price gone up to double, 10 bucks. Godddam''''' had to come late for not paying 25 bucks for concert or runaway immediately. If we knew, we would ssssssssssssssssssssfleepppppppp on same day... to CT without doing DimagKharab at concert. Hopefully , next yr, momo cost will lower than this yr.............if high, we will go fine restaurent, then momo seller will cry.........

Why dunt you volunteer in 06' ANA as well instead of writing "YOUR RESPONSE" out here..ANA people might need "YOUR RESPONSE" for organizing next year's ANA... Good luck GALLANT... ~nepaligurl~

Hey guys over the weekend, i actually listened to some of US Karma's songs *( yes, they have an album too). Some songs are pretty good. I got that song "Jack Daniels" stuck on my head. If you guys get a chance, I recommend you listen to it. Gallant, stop whining man- we all spent money and time there, and its ok to do that sometimes. Lets be positive for a change. Next yr, I'll buy you a bottle of beer, hows that? Nepali gurl, are you the pretty lil thing in the pink dress on sunday? I think I know you. Gorkhali---firefly, eh? peace.
