Acharya?s house burgled

KATHMANDU, May 17 - An unidentified group of people on Monday night burgled the house of senior leader of Nepali Congress, Nara Hari Acharya who is in government custody.
According to the NC source, the burglars broke the doors and stole documents from Acharya?s house located at Chandol near Maharajgunj.

A computer, photocopier and fax machine were also used by the burglars.

?All evidences pointed out the fact that some documents were stolen from his house,? a party source said.

Acharya, a central committee member had come out openly against monarchy after 2002 October 4. He was also a strong reformist within the party.

A water filter, a cable of computer, two pockets of pens, a suitcase and a note-pad were found missing.

Maharajgunj police, however, said that they had no detail information about the incident. (snn)
