Obviously I have become a fan of Karma Gurung productions. I like your camera angles, editing, sequence etc.
Now, for the criticism; it appears that you have progressed pretty well on videography, but now people will expect a solid content not just the way you shot it or other technicalities. I was very bored with the whole thing progressing so slowly. I know you want to take that extra closeup shot (b-roll) stuffs but that doesn’t mean it has to make it to the final cut. Progression was very slow on this one.
I think you have progressed well, it is now time to rise over the plateau and offer something interesting-not boring content.
I wanna see more from you hence the criticism.

The concept seems good!!! The movie could have been completed in 5-7 minutes. I felt it was made unnecessarily long. Why not be a little realistic in the movie. You are portraying a character that has no money to pay the rent for two months. He must be quite broke. Why not  a simple phone??? a simple laptop???a simple room probably with no couch. Why not a finished bottle of some cheap drink instead of black level? I don’t think it is easy for a Nepali student with no rent to afford a suv in New York . Simple things do make a great difference. Don’t get me wrong I know it is easy to criticize and hard to do a work but criticism is the way to improvement.  I watched your last video. You are progressing. I know you have the spirit and one day you will be a great movie maker!!!!!good luck....

Karma gabisa,

Your camera work is very nice, but to be honest I was bored watching in a slow move. It could have been short and to the point of action. Overall, you are doing superb job. I will come up with the story for you if I get any new concept for short movie.

I don't think this is a good work....it coudl have been better!! the onlything good is the camera....and there are some good angles otherthan that the story is not impressive a lot of Shitty stuff...a student not being able to pay drinking Black label and drivin an SUV that too in NY and a huge apartment...wtf!!, there is no good continuity in the movie.....the editing is not proper - there are quicker fades and jerky scenes.....and the volume is too high on the voice over and dubbed sounds......and most importantly this movie needs a lot of good edit.....this shud be a 3 min movie not 15 its 5 times worse!!

Seriously guys give some honest advice not just random appreciation!!

THis documentary is better dude....but still u suffer similar issues with your work....and don't get me wrong i am a digital cinema student and filmmaking is my area of knowledge as well......u do have many good shots in tis movie but again u use a lot of time showing them off which tends to become borring....i belive u do not need to show those scenes with audio instead use yor voice over so that viewers can still get your message and u keep them watching, which is the most important part....ani editing ma u need to spend some time redefining ....i liked the transitions but for a good flow u need to use all those good shots in a connecting pattern.....that will make it worth watching.....and again i love that ur dong all these on your already short, free hours and day offs but u could do a lot better!
peace

Stillmotion!
Despite the protagonist pouring and drinking Black Label like it's ice tea, the rest of the screen time moved without requiring me to adjust myself on the seat. The prodigal character is doing a lot of things too wrong for the results to show as he would like to see. In any kind of story whether it be a Shakespeare or an Aesop, there is an opposition that builds up against the main character and in a lot of cases it is because of the character's own weaknesses. That combined with a slew of unfortunate events shapes the story into something remarkable.
Most of all, I laud your intention to compensate the audience's fifteen minutes with a metaphorically relevant message that giving up is a suicide to a temporary problem. When you expressed in your previous documentary feedback that you intended to create a movie next, I was skeptical. But with this one you pulled it off nicely.

It is easy to critic, we find many faults, but when it comes to our own creation we have more flaws.

I just checked anavon's clips and while the multimedia work (graphics used on screen) is good, overall movie making is nowhere better than Stillmotion's. I will vote to Stillmotion's clip anytime.

I guess if I make a movie, mine would be worse then...the bigger a criticism worse the creation?
