Would you expect the Maoists to
admit wanting the money to bribe our August Shabashads? As a matter of record,
when exactly have the Maoists owned up to their lies? Aren’t we all too
familiar with their usual lies: everyone is to blame except us; the whole world
(probably except North Korean and Cuba) is trying to defame us; we are always
the victims; the state killed people and not us; land capture, extortion and
looting are just revolutionary means of liberating wealth – for our keeping; we
believe in democracy as long as no one opposes us; anyone who is against us is a
feudalist, royalist, fascist, statusquoist, anti-people, anti-national, stooge
of foreign powers, blah, blah; if there is any dynastic succession, it’s okay
if it’s the children of our leaders; we would have made Nepal another
Switzerland but were robbed of this opportunity; it’s perfectly okay to kill, maim,
injure, abuse, degrade anyone if they stand in our way; and on, and on and on……………………….

Well, if you disagree with the
above, please feel free to blame Gyane, Paras, Komal, Himani, Hridyandra and whoever and whatever else for all
the wrongs, actual or imagined, of the past, present and future - except of course, the Maoists?
