My student visa is about to expire in about few months and few days before it expires i am planning on going to nepal to reextend it?? Since i came to u.s i have never gone for a visit. The problem is i still haven't completed my studies yet. I fear that i may get stuck there if i get rejected, if against all odds. Has anyone ever been rejected extension of student visa???

Yeah Bro not a good idea to go Nepal if you are already 5 yrs here and haven't completed your studies...

Don't go to Nepal for extension of visa. its better to go to Canada as far i know.

What do u mean by you haven't completed your studies? If you are still going to college, then of course you can go visit nepal, but if you already quit school, then your F1 visa is not valid. It expires as soon as you quit school and you are out of status. Hope that helps.

what a bullshit suggestion man... if u have a valid i-20 even obama can't kick u out from us weather u have completed u studies or no..visa is just for travelling purposes it doesn't matter...there is no need to extend visa bro..n metallica bro u r 100% right..cheers

my visa ia also about to expire...and yeah if u stay in US you are ok but just in case you want to go out of US, you will need that visa. The best idea is to go to mexico or canada with all the documents and get your visa renewed.
i am planning to go to mexico next month to do the same !

 ya most likely you are going to get denied, unless you have a very good reason, esp. some medical reason with proof. 

I didn't understand why anyone wants to extend their visa if itiis valid. You just need to go to Nepal and com back before it expires with valid I 20 that's all.

 Just keep in mind that nepal ma cases of not getting a visa has increased. You may take your chances but tyai ho, you might get stuck cause u were not able to finish your course. The thing is  you can convince them that you have only a semester left and you want to get it done, and they might buy it but well there is always a risk!
