Lets post what we accomplish in 2008. I graduated MS, had son ,change job and applied for gc. Not sure what 2009 will be for?

just got accepted into the college of my choice : )

well good topic,

I did accomplished few things.

1: I graduated
2: My parents came here to visit me.
3: Went to see NYC along with 16 other states
4: I got a decent Job
5: Bought a house
6: Got greened

the year 08 was good for me.

I passed comprehensive exam for PhD candidacy and had son. Year 08 was OK for me.

madtech,.. i don't have any idea bout you. but i am so happy to see a nepali in good position.. keep on doing a good job... 3 cheers for you..

I accomplished nothing.. o wait.. more debt

1. Learned how not to worry about the things that are not in my control.
2. Read Gita and became a fan!
3. Started practicing yoga along with weight training.
4. Got married.
5. Made more dinero than I had expected.
6. Wrote few poems in Sajha (I consider this an accomplishment.)

Added 1 more year in my job experience and age

1. More Debt on my credit Card.

2. Been to Califronia and Las Vegas.

3. Abandoned my dream to work in a office.

4. Learned not to plan anymore, let the things go by itself.

5. Keep Smiling.

Finished a couple of projects! Went to Nepal and met my family in 10 years. Visited NY and traveled thru about 15 more states. For 2009 ANA 2009. and go visit Nepal again. May be tie a knot!!

1. Got my Masters Degree

2. Got a Job

3. Got H1B

4. Brought my Soulmate to US

2008

1. Life is going on the same pace. 2009 should be exciting with more stuffs...

 added one more year in job experience and became one year older.  i guess wiser and mature too..

Bought a business...

Planned on being a parent, expecting in Feb 2009,

Made little bit more money than 2007

Grew few more grey hairs in the head

Lost few unnecessary pounds from the body figure

 

Hoping for the best year ahead although I am loosing my job in Feb of 2009.

I have not done anything significant in 2008 however I would like to list few things.

-Went Nepal and visited all the family members.
-Backpacked, cruised and roamed around more than half a dozen countries.
-Got a German four wheeler and and fallin in love with. (After spending around 2000 euros for licence)
- Moved to new country to join Grad school and enjoyin every bit of it. (Gettin serious in studies)
- Met Nobel Prize Winner 2008  few times and also had a coffee together (Before announcement)

Resolution for 2009 : To get up early in the morning

1. Got married to my new soul mate.
2. Got to see my family after several years.
3. Switched to new position at work (still with a job despite a big workforce cutoff in my company)
4. Came close to bumping into my x-soulmate and her new soulmate during my visit to my native land (after so many years).
5. Survived a year full of roller coaster ride and got to visit a bunch of new places, made new friends.

Anyways happie new year to everyone out there
