I THINK KATHMANDU IS THE MAIN HERITAGE OF CULTURE AND RELIGION THERE ARE NO DOUBTS. BUT SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT KATHMANU IS NOTHING AND THEY ALSO HATES THE PEOPLE OF KATHMANDU BASICALLY THE NEWARS. THEY HATE NEWARS AND SAY THIS AND THAT AGAINST THE NEWAR AND NOW FROM THE SAME GROUP CAME TO IGNORE NEWARI CULTURE AND NEWARI PEOPLE. THEY TOOK MOST OF THE LANDS FROM THE NEPALI FARMERS  IN THE NAME OF BRINGING DEMOCRACY IN THE COUNTRY NOW IN THE NAME OF REPUBLIC ANOTHER GROUP OF PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO OBLITERATE NEWARS IDENTITY FROM THE KATHMANDU VALLEY. I REQUEST TO THOSE WHO ARE IN DECISION MAKING TO CHANGE THE CAPITOL OF NEPAL. CHANGE CAPITOL OF NEPAL WHEREVER THEY WANT EXCEPT KATHMANDU VALLEY( KATHMANDU, LALITPUR AND BHAKTAPUR). PEOPLE NEED TO THINK ABOUT CHANGING CAPITOL AND MOSTLY THE SO CALLED AGRAGAMI( I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS LITERALLY).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE THE CAPITOL OF NEPAL TO SOMEWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN KATHMANDU VALLEY. WE CAN MAKE OUR VALLEY MUCH BETTER THAN THIS. WE NEWAR MADE GOLDEN CITY AT THAT TIME NOW WE STILL CAN MAKE BY OUR OWN EFFORT. I REALLY FEEL SORRY FOR THOSE WHO ARE AGAINST KATHMANDUITES.

FROM MY POINT OF VIEW WHAT I BELIEVE IS BABURAM BHATTARAI PLAYED THE SAME ROLE AS PRITVINARAYAN SHAH PLAYED IN THE  PAST. LIKE PRITVINARAYAN SHAH MADE FRIEND TO ONE OF THE KINGS TO WIN KATHMANDU, HE MARRIED HISILA YAMI TO DEVALUATE AND DESTROY NEWARI CULTURE . AND FOR INFORMATION BOTH WERE FROM GORKHA DISTRICT( POINT TO BE NOTED). SO ALL NEWARS BEWARE OF THOSE WHO TRIED DEGRADE NEWAR AND NEWARI CULTURE.

PLEASE THINK IT FEEL IT AND PASS IT.

Kathmandu  is already a thrash ....We do not want to add another.

My selection is NarayanGhat for the next Capitol of Nepal. Since its center to eastern and western part of Nepal and have lots of place for the planned expansion and provide infrastructure for the development and can also have international airport, this is the best place to choose among other places. What you say guys?

there is not a place like "Chitwan" for the capital of Nepal,accessible from all parts of countries,represents both terai and hills,good infrastructures,tourist center,center for devotees,represents so many castes n ethnic group like Newar,Bahun,chhetri,tamang,praja,tharu,madhesi....etc

Narayanghat, chitwan would be a good choice, the place, the place where i am originally from.  but dont you think we need an international airport in the capital city? As far as I know, all the Head of States and head of govt live in the capital city(I may be wrong). Does it sound logical and look good for foreign delegates to land at TIA and catch another (delayed) domestic flight to reach Chitwan for an official visit to Prez or PM. Also, does Nepal has that much of budget surplus to go for a  transformation. I don't think so. But decentralization would always be a great choice and keep Ktm as the "capital".

Those who are saying that Narayangarh should be the capital of Nepal I support them.

But beside loving YOUR culture YOUR language and YOUR nepa I think You also Love OUR culture OUR common language and OUR nepal.

I love our NEPAL, our CULTURE, our LANGUAGE,  all Nepalese and ALL the places of NEPAL including KATHMANDU which I think is perfect for being CAPITAL of NEPAL.

 

 

Capital of Nepal should be the central part of Nepal - Bharatpur, Chitwan with some part of Gaidakot. There should be a "Embassador Road" along the bank of Narayani River to the north-east in Gaidakot and all embassadors should reside in that area. Presidental office should also be in Gaidakot side. Parliament and Primiminister office and differnet ministries should be in Bharatpur. Anyway, capital should not be any crowdy place like Kathmandu. It should be smaller cities like DC of the United States or Ottawa of Canada. Pokhara is also too crowdy, and next it is not easily accessible from different part of Nepal. Other options are Butwal and Hetauda. But, Chitwan suits the best.

I am happy with current capital of Nepal , NEW DELHI ,

thats the place where most imp. decisions have been made so far ,

whether it was Tribuvan, Congress, Birendra, Gyanendra or Maoist/ UML of Forum ,

all of them have been loyal to this place.

so, i dont think there is a need to change capital
