One can  easily purchase a computer in 15 to 20 thousand and can start a business.But 10 thousand  or more is required to install OS,then imagine a business of cyber.So they might be thinking of demonstrating in the streets .Gud luck Gates

It's really hard- almost 90 to 95 % government office, passed the budget for original computer (approx Rs100K) and brought at/around Rs.30K to 40K assemble computer. Now, again another rampant for corruption to earn money from the procurement.

Let's see, how government will deal in this regards and controlled their employees from computer corruption.

In general public, it may not having problems if they are not connect internet directly, as stated in the media.

However, the regular internet user, may not able to access internet after few months and need to reformat the computer

So, take care in time for your PC, password and security code and be in safe in advace.

 

We use pirated copy from torrent.. and Bill Gate could not touch us.. how the hell they can touch Nepalese in Nepal.. this is crap news, there is no truth in it. Computer going black re .. ha ha.... computer may shut off with RPC time out if they try to update OS online.. yeah that always happens when we use pirated copies brought from Nepal to here...  That black screen is not true. But if you download a copy from torrent site with proper KeyGen.. there should not be a problem at all.

just stop automatic update and update notification,and be happy, i am doing this for more than 3 years with P-OS windows.now downloaded SP3 from microsoft website and installed it,no need to further updates

Common guys,

   It is so easy to make any XP a genuine one (yeah, without installation of any external stuffs, it involves just a minor twick of its registry file).

After that, we can download any programs/updates from Microsoft site. Funny thing, Microsoft first checks for validity and then says 'Thank you for using original software' bla bla..   ;) 

I have not tried this in Vista, but for XP, it works like charm.

For 'some obvious  reason' I can not paste those steps (which I have shared with few friends here in Sajha). If anyone wants those instructions, message me in private.

"Brain Malfunction" is right. I'm not a computer major, and it might be an inductive logic, but I have tried that successfully (just due to curiosity) while I was in Nepal.

Another thing: if OS costs even a few hundred rupees, that's not affordable for most Nepali users. They have no option than switching to Linux. Seems less likely, but open source should rule the world.
