And what after the training period is over. No employment, back to street and what is the learned discipline gonna do when one is hungry? Why Baburam doesn't emphasize rather in education. He thinks abducting kids from school and putting them in army training is the key to Nepal's success.

Training is not for full-time employment. It's only for Emergency Prepared-ness. I would rather analyze the idea not the person who said it.

Who said the army training is a full time employment. The point is can't one direct the funds to rather, education or any sort of vocational training? Emergency preparedness for what? When India invades or when another internal turmoil takes place? Well the idea is from Baburam so analyzing his saying. If it was from anyone else it would get equal critical view.

We are only talking about reducing the size of the Army and providing an alternative to replace the lost segment of the force. Are you saying we should entirely get rid of the Army in Nepal? Of course, Education for long-term and Vocational training for the current job-market are imperative and thus need to be funded in the highest priority level. The topic is only about the prudent Armed force Strategy if people support keeping the Army at all.

why not? If you do bodybuilding exercise everyday that does NOT mean that you have to break other head. Country safety and security is alway first concern since ancient time. And it must remain as long as human civilization alive. Why not? We have to do whatever it will cost? Important things generate business economy, do not sit and do nothing.

To go military or join into Nepal military means that you have to (1) you have to dig the farmland and cultivates Rice, Wheat, Corn, Sugarcan, Mustard. (2) you have to build Roads, Bridges, Electricity lines, Buildings, Communication line etc. (3) you have to help and support community works and disaster releave works. (3) you have to go to school and get technical education and gain skill works. (4) you have to learn many moral, skills, mental and physical training. Many you can learn and gain as well as must do country building contribution. You can sit and eat like a corrupted pigs. It is good for Nepal and Nepalese population to join in 3 to 4 years military. It is good contribution for good citizen of the country. It helps you to give your unethical behaviours and corrupted mentality, and help you to become a good Rolemodel.

That's exactly what nepalese need: military training. without one, they have mastered violence; with one, they will further excel.
