gayne chor....gayne this and gyane that. i certainly agree but i am not so confident on these political parties too.
aja nepal jun awastha ma cha , is it due to king's 3 year direct rule ? or is it because so called democratic leaders induldged themselves into filthy corruption, promoted political instability for their mere benefits and nurtured maoists? democracy is a learning process. samaya ra kalantar ma galti haru sudhridai jancha ani prajatantra le falne ra fulne mauka paucha. screw that... we waited for 15 years. the promises these leaders made in 2046 ...bullshit. tyo sundar aswashan ra sapana pura hune kura ta parai jawos ...nepali janta le sugna pani payena.
these political parties and these so called leaders have proven to be nothing but indian puppets. euta neta india gayo, sarkar dhalcha..arko neta india gayo, arko naya sakar bancha. what the f..k. nepal has potential to be very much indepentend of india socially , economicaly and politicaly but these leaders turned nepal to just like bhutani.( at least king has freed himself from india's gulami)
desh ko economic condition naramro cha , desh ma aru dherai bikriti cha but aile ko main samasya bhaneko mawobadi ho. nepal is on the verge of collapse because of these maoists. afu sarkar ma huda maoists haru terrorists ani aile afu sarkar bata bahira auuda hat milayera hidne.. these political parties are doin nothing but shifting maoists problem to different direction. desh ma tetro barsa hahakar bhayeko maoists le garda hoina. aile ekkasi tyo problem solve bhayo?
king is nothing but an oppertunistic autocrat. tara king lai aile ko awastha samma kasle lyayo?
these so called leaders politicize every freakin thing ...nepal banda ..chakka jam.ekdin ko nepal banda le nepal lai kati ghata huncha?
by the 15 years ko prajatanra ma desh le k napyo. bolna payo re ..lehna payo re. shit. duniya le bhartachar bhayo bhanera bole ..lekhe..tara bhutro na bhangro.. k kam testo kasaile nasunne boli ko.

Ok, i believe in democracy n' there'll always be bad people to take out the advantage, that's why we need the good system. So giving examples of bad people don't justify for the continuity of worst system. I like to repeat this : Good system will bring even bad people to the good track n' bad system will even corrupt the good people.

Gwajyo, if you had a choice in current political senario, who would you choose, a Monarch or a Maoists to be your leader? And who do you think would be harder to get rid of if they happen to be in power and why?

Hurray, I'm talking about the system (i.e. democracy) not the individuals. Please, I'm telling again, I'm not talking about choosing the master. You're trying to put me in a trap by saying whom I want to chose as my master. I'm talking about abolishing slavery. Please grow up. As long as good democratic system is run properly and everyone including prime ministers or president (If nepal happen to have one in the future) can be brought to justice, I don't have any problem with gyane or prachanda being in the government. Then, they've to work according to the rules of the system, not whatever they say or do will be RULES. Presently, according to attorney general of Nepal, as kg is so-called avtar for some slaves, the steps he take are like carved stones and every word of him will be added as addendum to Nepal's law.

Gwajyo, I prefer democracy to any other known system just like you. But it seems like you are more theoritical and I am more practical in our understanding of democratic system and it's sustainability in nepal's political context.

Hurray, your being democratic sounds like King Gyanendra being democratic and like Ramesh Nath Pandey said that Nepal is practising a unique democracy that fits in Nepal's context. Otherwise you would not put a question to Gwajyo like that. In my understanding, democracy produces leaders, not the vice versa.

If you are for a practical democracy, how will you incorporate the issues of the democratic parties and the maoists?

प्रजातन्त्र लाई समय चाहिन्छ

even if the leaders turn out to be corrupt how long can they last. the next election will have a bad consequences for them. so they must show some work. also all politicians cannot be corrupt. it is impossible. however all royals had been corrupt they have, frankly, too much power to do anything they want and get away with it.

democracy is the only way. i do not even support a ceremonial monarchy, it is too expensive. if we were rich like japanese and brits then maybe.

मान्छे लाई खाननै छैन के को राजा लाई पोश्ने हैन ? this is a huge amount of money we are talking about which could be used for education, healthcare and employment oppotunities for the rural nepali

There is a very apt adage in Nepali, Jun Goru Aye Pani Kanai Chireko.
Democracy, Monarchy, Communism...Whatever the system is, Leaders are corrupt. We all have seen 104 years of Rana Regime, different and hard to keep track of power shifts in later years. People have shed their blood throughout the history of our tumultuous system, be it Shah Vansa, be it Ranas or be it Panchayati system and new found democracy (which I remember in my earlier days being referred to as DHO YA KWASI in gai jatras). Don't you feel the irony of that word. I feel it has been a very suitable humor, nevertheless, democracy is not something to be ridiculed or made fun of (for hundreds and thousands of people have shed their blood and sacrificed their lives to achieve it). But what it has come to. Someone said, it has been only 15 years, and we made mistakes but never amended those mistakes. We might need another 50 years for this democracy to work. But if this democracy gives you the right of speech and action today, it should also provide you with positive feedbacks and a platform for expansion and development in different respects. Rome was not built in a day, someone said, and we teach our kids and tell ourselves. But I say, if Rome was not built in one day, the Romans at least started to build Rome from Day 1. When will we see our Day 1? Will we wait for our country to plummet into the crevasse of civil war and political unrest or will we open our mind and learn from past mistakes and take good things from other great civilization and more successful systems. Hell, even Americans are not happy with lot of their system components, but at least they have jobs and can feed themselves and their family, at the least. BUt people are always living in a constant hunger and fear in Nepal. How many more years does it take our Nepal to turn to Sudan or Ethiopia or Combodia? The way and the rate of things are going on, We can guess..NOT LONG.
Anyways, do the politicians or lawmakers or activists surf through this Site? If they do, here is a message for you.
Nepal is the only country always free from foreign power, probably in the entire human history. And we are proud of that. BUT, Nepal is the only country always torn and ravaged for power since forever. Be it hundreds of years ago, before Shahs and Ranas or be it 50 some years ago, after Nepal saw a new dawn of a vey shortlived democracy.
The thing is, It is not system who make people but it is people who make system. And it is people who follow them. You are a politician, you are a lawmaker, you are powerful, but you are a Nepali too. If you think as a Nepali before you think as a politician or lawmaker, maybe it will sound more reasonable in your process of decisions and prospects. "cos before everything else, YOU ARE A NEPALI AND YOU HAVE TO LIVE IN NEPAL AND YOU CAN MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN, FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN AND 30 MILLION OTHERS NEPALESE. PEACE AND SERENTIY AND SECURITY. THATS ALL WE NEED. NOTHING MORE. NOTHING LESS.

"a Monarch or a Maoists to be your leader?"
Monarchy--slow but certain death, Maoists--swift death or chances of better life if Maoists change themselves. Take your pick. Better still, opt for 'corrupt' and 'incompetent' democratic leaders.
And who do you think would be harder to get rid of if they happen to be in power and why?
Monarchy is hardest to get rid off, as we have experienced in 250 years of Nepalese history. The last 60 years have shown that kings of Nepal are hardcore dictators. Getting rid of Maoists? Why, they will get rid of each other and leave Nepal in anarchy for a while. After that, who ever is left alive will have to sort things out.

Hurray, my comments are obviously theoretical to people who believe that the only pragmatic solution to Nepal's crisis is to give a chance to king so that he can create better environment for democracy after a couple of centuries; the reasons are - leaders are corrupted; people are uneducated, and we're not ready for democracy. We never get tired of criticizing 15 years of democracy but we didn't see that Nepal existed even before that period. One talks as if the period before democracy was a golden era of nepal.
