? The terrorist attack in Madi (?Sorry.?, #251) and the terrorist attack in London are both very similar. The terrorists have only one objective and that is to terrorise innocent people to attract attention of the public. We join millions of others to express our sympathies to the families of the grieved people. After the London bombs, King Gyanendra was reported to have sent a message of condolence to Queen Elizabeth. Yet, we did not hear a single word from him after the Madi carnage even though both had about the same number of casualties. Why the double standard? Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip both visited victims in hospitals and made a public statement. In Nepal, not even the Royal Palace issued a public statement after Madi.

Why the heck King G should be worried about his poor ?Praja? killed in landmine explosion planted by the moist devils!! How could u expect sympathy to servants from a person who supposedly (most of the Nepalese believe in his role in the royal massacre) master minded the royal massacre!! What can u expect from a tyranny to his praja? A tyranny only tries to please foreign powers so that they would keep their eyes closed on whatever atrocities he would inflect to his praja. Have u seen any tyranny being responsible/accountable to his/her people? ? a distant possibility!!

He is worrried about people killed elsewhere not in Nepal cuz Nepali people dont have power or resources to deliver supplies to RNA (as Brit govt has) nor do they have capacity to put pressure on Nepali monarch by playing "foreign Aid" card.

Have king Gyanendra ever attended any--ANY-- cremation ceremony of a fallen soldier, including that of Krishna B. Shrestha, the IGP?

NO.

He simply doesn't have time to mourn the death of any person who is willing to die for 2K a month so that he can reap 1 billion+ rupees a year from national coffer, and throw the country in chaos.

As long as there are people who are willing to die for him, why would he care, anyway? And, as Shiva Shrestha showed, there are still people who are willing to prostrate in front of a particular woman --or her husband in our Nepal.

God bless us all, god bless the perished ones.

To hope any sympathy from King G is to anticipate some words from dead bodies..His humanity and soul died from the very day when he bacame king......... what u expect from a man who can kill his own brothers and sons and sisters?????????.He is very happy from these a ll the events so long as there will be communities to light candle on the occassion of his birthday............Madi was the worst drama of terrorism enacted by maoists terrorists and the KG is enacting such dramas everywhere by giving all the powers to armies..............despots never feel sorry........

My surprise is that no one JOURNALIST raised this question:
"Why KG did not send any condolence to the families of those
killed in Madi Massacre, if he could send the condolence message
to Queen and her citizens? Why such double standards?"

I am not opposing the message to British people, they certainly
deserve such messages, but why King G plays a double standard
role when it comes his of his own RAITI (I don't think that he
thinks us as PRAJA or Janata). Why the journalists have forgotten
the Madi Carnage so quick and could not relate it with King G's
condolence message? I wanted to see some big news media
should have raised this issue, but not me as a reader in
reader's letter section. That was my disappointment.
It might because of the reason that no journalist was killed
in Madi.

GP bro,
Eyebrows were raised at the King by Nepali media about your concerns long before the London bombings. Seems you have missed them. Explicit questioning to royals is however disallowed in Nepal.

Amen to Kankai! "Lageko baani chhodna ta gahrai hunchha." Tyes maathi pani RAITI ko level ma jharera samabedana dina ta jhanai gahro hunchha yinlai. As Ashu once admitted, they would care less untill it hits hard their own homes...

NewUser Bro,

I did not miss it, but why don't they follow up. Raise the question
again, why such double standards.

Did you see the on going grilling at CIA Agent coverup story.
White house spokesman was grilled up by journalists.
23 questions were asked, all these 23 questions got
answer" I appreciate your questions, but I can answer
at this time". So, journalists should be united and ask
the same question again and again.... tell them that
if you don't answer the anwer for this question, we
won't move forward ....

Well, Dada giri bhai, I guess there are many guys in RoyalPalace
who are advising to king neglect the issues inside the country.
They should be fired by Journalists through their news papers.
If all newspapers in Nepal get united and raise the issue and
put it on front page, Royal Palace has to answer or close the
papers... Bothway, people will get answer. At least they
should raise the issue.
