Ind vs Pak : 3 Tests and 6 ODIs

Well ! how come the Pakistan and thefan will forget the last year's defeat on their home soil!! Let us concentrate on the current test series (and later 6 more ODIs).

In Mohali, Pakistan started the 5th day just 53 runs ahead and with only four wickets in the kitty. JUST 4 WICKETS and the whole day -- India might have been delighted at a moment !!!! Under such pressure on Indian soil, the awesome effort put in by Kamran Akmal and Razzaq (184 partnership for the 7th wicket) gave Pakistan a draw in the first test. This draw is a kind of victory for Pakistan, and Inzamam cricket force will go into the 2nd test at Eden Garden with confidence oozing from their ears.

Akmal, his maiden Test century (109) under pressure, has become the only second Pak wicket keeper to reach triple figures against India in Test and now will no doubt be a career man. Razzaq being on the next crease, giving him suggestion and encouragement was a great help for him and both of them saved the first test. Hats off to these guys !!

It was a good performance by Balaji who took 9 wickets and that would have made him a leading contender for Akmal's man-of-the-match award. And, Congrat to Kumble on his 450th test wickets. [Sehwag,173; !!! 10dulkar,94 !!!]

Still it is uncleared why Pakistan went on the battle field with just 4 bowlers. Let's see what they gonna do on Eden Garden where India have never beaten Pakistan in 5 attempts. Pakistan now enjoy the impetus. Congratulation to Inzy (57, 86), Bob et al. and good luck to the next fight in front of huge crowd.

Pretty unnaturally good willing cricket tour of Pakistan to India. Seems they have tied the first test to show some kind of improvement in bilateral relation. I mean this result seems to be fixed in some way. Nevertheless the result of the Kolkata test will let us know if this is a sporting cricket series or a political cricket series. Anyway, it's nice to see cricket helping two foes to fight in the playground rather then in battlefield.

The second test at Eden Garden will commence in 15 mins. in front of a crowd of around hundred thousands. Pak are likely to include Afridi. Ind are still undecided whether to include Bhazi or not cuz of few grasses on the pitch.
Good luck to both the teams.

Pak should go for batting if they win the toss to avoid pressure on the foreign soil.

Regarding the cricket great fightback by Pakis in the last test, I really liked the way the seventh pair denied INdians the victory, that they bthought to have it in their bags.
Indians having won the toss have decided to bat in the second test, with Bhajji replacing Zaheer, things will be different. But the test series is now evenly poised with the moral victory by Inzi's boys.

Winning the toss does more than anything in cricket when the skipper is familiar with the pitch. Ganguly did the right thing. The Ind openers are doing pretty well. It would not be an easy task for the tourists to face against Guglee specialis and Bhazi's kalaa. I am pleased to see Afridi back on the squad. I would say it's a good decision by Pak board as Butt was not doing well. Moreover, Afridi is also a wicket taker. Donno much about Khalil.
Well !! my fav. umpire standing in 100th test matches, becoming the first one. Well !! it would have been a great if Akhtar were in Pak squad. The much would have been more interesting. Whatever I simply wish the result of the second test would come at the last hour of 5th day.

No one knows what gonna happen on what which over. Especially, the consi Sometime the batsman become unlucky soon after TEA. Sometimes the nightwatch man (KK ji, is this word true? i forgot many cricket NOUNS) DOES pretty well. No one knew Razzaq and Akmal would change the side of the coin.... this is cricket... one can easily show the anger on other team.. however, having interest on and analysing both sides' players and their pluses and minuses would be more interesting. Thanks to this series~~ 5 days would be passing in a very good way.
