 Nepali man shot dead in Texas robbery

Kathmandu, July 29

A Nepali man was shot and killed by a group of robbers in Texas, USA. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Deepak Oli from Sije, Bafikot Rural Municipality-10, Rukum West, was working at a gas station when the tragic incident occurred.

Deepak Oli’s uncle, Deubhan Oli, informed the family about the fatal shooting. According to Oli, the robbery took place around 5 am on Sunday, local time. The robbers shot Deepak during the robbery, leading to his death.

Deubhan Oli, a member of the District Coordination Committee, revealed that Deepak had arrived in the US illegally just seven months ago. Deepak is survived by his wife and a daughter.
