I am visiting Nepal after 10+ years in the US for about 20 days (recently got my green card). My Nepali passport expires in 2 years, and I want to renew it when I am visiting next month. How long does it take and is it feasible within 2 weeks?

What other options do I have to renew it?

Renewing a passport from the Nepali Embassy is an option (better) than you spend your time for the passport process in Nepal.

How long does it take to get an electronic passport after doing live enrollment in the districts?
Passports will be available in all the three districts of Kathmandu Valley within a week. Passports will be available within 15 days on the Mahendra Highway outside Kathmandu and surrounding districts and districts with air facilities. After receiving the passport at the district administration offices, an SMS will be sent to the applicant's mobile to collect the passport.
