Under current law can the following buy land in Nepal, and if so, any limitations?

1. US permanent resident (Nepali citizen)
2. US citizen

Only nepali citizen can buy property (land ) in Nepal w/o restriction . US citizen cannot buy land only inherit with strict terms and conditions .

Us gc, Nepali ctzp =unlimited.
Us ctzp + nrn card = in one area , 2 ropani in ktm ,or 8 kattha in madesh etc etc..check nrn regulations , pdfs easily availabe on google.

Oh and edv is right, the restrictions for nrn card +us ctzp is u have to get special permission 1st and u will be issued a blue purja not lal purja. it's up to the discretion of the office to give u permission or not so not exactly not a right ht but a privilege
