I've been a hard working man. Just like most Americans, I've had my share of odd end jobs. Just like most Americans, my goal has been to have a secure bank balance so that I can buy a house and plan a retirement. It was a nighmare how my beloved iphone became the cause of my downfall into poverty. It took me almost 15 years of odd end jobs to get a satisfactory bank balance. As a construction worker turned office manager, I had my fair share of American dream. A frugal car, a frugal apartment, and finally I had enough for a down payment for a dream house. Not really something to write home about but my balance had almost reached 100K when it all came tumbling down. I rarely go out to party because my 9 to 6 job and the 1 hour commute nearly engulfs all my daily time. But one fine day, one of my friends from college who I had not seen in 10 years calls me out of the blue that he's going to be in my city and he is invited to a party at one of this friends house the next day which was a Tuesday. Being a friend, I had to take his offer and made it over to pick him up at his hotel after work and we headed to his friend's house. We chatted along the way. There was a lot to catch up on. We got to his friend's house and there were almost 15 other people from different countries. Reminded us so much of college parties. Anyways what was not to enjoy so we went all out partying, drinking, smoking hookah. As the night winded down, apparently we did not wind down gracefully - and the next thing I remember was waking up in a couch the next morning at 10am. My friend was still sleeping in the other couch when I woke up. I hurriedly woke him up and gave him a ride back to his hotel and proceeded on to go home to get changed to go to work. After a quick shower, I started driving to work and needed to get some gas so stopped over at the gas station. As I swiped my credit card to pre-pay for gas, the card got denied 3 times. An eerie feeling crept up but I thought maybe I should try to withdraw some cash from the ATM inside. So I put in the pin code and the next screen saw me dumbfounded. My account which had almost 100K now was showing $5 balance! That was scary! I immediately called the bank and the bank informed me that everything was transferred over last night and the transaction got completed in the morning. How could it be possible? I was at my friends party and today was around 10 am in the morning. How could it have happened? I asked them. They asked me to quickly contact the police. In coordination from the police and the bank, it was discovered that the transfer had been made from my own phone the night before. Apparently someone had taken hold of my phone and using my fingerprint login when I was passed out, logged into my bank account and initiated the transfer of all my money. When the bank sent approval pin code to the same phone, the culprit was able to use the pin code to approve the transaction! Now I am in a deep mess. All my money is gone. It was authorized using my phone. I don't have any excuse. They are still trying to figure out who did it. I have no idea who came in or out after I passed out last night. This is how I could lose all my savings from my bank if I have my bank app on my phone activated by using my fingerprints. This is just a public service announcement!

Yes that's impossible... the bank would call you and you would have to go through answering all those security questions.. and personal information before finally letting you do. Even I had to go through whole lot of talking just to trasfer 15k from my own bank to another. The transfer alone would take 3-5 days.. which you would have been able to cancel anytime.. The money would be traced to where it goes.. and whoever did that attempt would have to spent behind the bars.

I was able to transfer 10K few days back with just the pin code approval. That's when this plot came to mind. It's possible that if something like that happened then you wouldn't notice it. For example if someone just transferred 5000 you probably won't notice it right away. The example here is extreme you just have to acknowledge the moral of the story.

tait hawa gaff dine k mula saag. Banks put daily transaction limit. It's not possible to send 100k at once. Transfer over 10k triggers money laundering bot, This is just a made up story.

Don't try to fool us please. The amount which you can transfer from your phone is very minimal( May be just couple of thousands). You have to physically present at bank to withdraw huge amount of money. Just BS story. Try something better next time to seek attention.

Your title says "How I lost 15 years of saving because of my iPhone" which implies you actually lost the money but at the end you are saying " This is how I could lose". Those two statements contradicts. So you should re-read your post and don't post just click bait threads.

This guy wanted to fool everyone but when everyone turned out to be smart he backed down and changed his story and sticked with a lesson story. Very childish act. If he is more thank 13 ,then he has some issues to deal with

Haha some of you good folks seriously need to get a life. This is just a story. I am not trying to fool anyone as in the end I mentioned the true motive behind this story. I have personally transferred over 40,000 to a different account in the same bank without having to call anyone by simply entering the info and verifying the account using the pin number sent to the phone. I can only assume that it is possible to send more than that. The chances of you finding out is high but if the amount is smaller it may go undetected. The response I have received makes me feel like I am in kindergarten where all the students are trying to report the other students to the teacher to get them in trouble. There is a lot of growing up to do here. I will try to post more stories will morals so you good folks can grow up.

Most sajha visitors think all stories written in Sajha are real and commented accordingly.
Why can you read it as an essay and serving something his/her own creation? You want to find an answer in digit , like what is the answer 1 or 9 ? Some one still insisting on 9 and I commented must be IT Guy ?

I have always been aware of this possibility so I don't use my fingerprint login to my bank account. 100K transfer within few hours may seem ridiculous but I get the point.

Thank you for all the feedback. As with everything in life, there will be positive and negative feedback. Positive people will focus on positive stuff and negative people will focus on negative. No one can help the negative people but themselves to start to see things positively. I wish them all the best in seeing things positively because that will increase their enjoyment of their lives and make things more pleasant for their friends and family. All the best!

How I made million dollar with a iphone After a long and tiring day I decided to go to a party hoping to hook up with some chicks. Ugly me nobody gave me any look. So I started drinking and enjoying hookah. I was so hung I just slept on the sofa with a chick who was intoxicated beyond consciousness of oneself. I hugged her and slept and suddenly my hand struck her iphone. I used her fingerprint to unlock the phone and started playing with her iphone. Eventually I reached to her bank account information. Oh my god, to my surprise there was so much money i had never imagined to see in life. I download an app for borgata casino and started trying my luck. I placed big bets as i thought the money was never going to finish. To my surprise the money was almost over and had only $1000 left. I thought of buying some clothes (I had not bought in a year) and so transferred the money to my account. I then deleted the app from the iphone. A friend of mine had told me caesars was better than bogarts and so I started wondering again if I should try caesars. So I downloaded caesars app. I started playing small amount of money but still lost and got to $569. It was already late and I was starting to get bored. So out of anger I placed a big bet of $550. Oh my lord!! You made my life.I won a million dollar. The beautiful chick made my life. I placed the remaining $19 by the side of the angel, kissed her and left never to return back.

@ambrosiac Now I have money but nobody loving to share with me. I am wondering if she would have come with me. I guess she would have loved me. We would see the world together through the eyes of the million dollar :)
