Just a week ago, I had a big fight with my own cousin, and she has just completed master level, and I am in bachelor, so i had days off and went to visit her, and she saw me talking to my friend who is Pariyar, lower cast than me, but still i hate it to call lower cast or higher cast, its just different cast which means nothing to me, I love my friend as everyone else. But she said "nepal ma aru koi bhetainas ra tehi pariyar ko sangat garne, tero class ma koi chhetri bahun chhaina ra.. talai tallo jaat haru sangai kina hidnu parne, sabai facebook photos ma usai sanga chhan, kasto laaj lagxa kasaile sodheko bela mero bhai ho bhanna pani"

and I got so furious and said, "you dont have to be ashamed of saying i am your cousin and I am taking pictures with my friend, there is no big deal, get over it. Its not like you did hard work and became chhetri, you could have been born as different cast too, its not your achievement to be snob about. and you think you re being ashamed? but right now, you re making really embarrassing, that my own educated civilized cousin thinks like that...I am leaving your house right now.."
then I left. I dont think I did anything wrong. but my other cousins think she was right and i should go and apologize with her. Please suggest me if i am wrong here
