Happy Bijaya Dashami to my folks around the globe! And, besides looking for a not so smelly hope diamond for this upcoming event, I am busy here trying to reshuffle some of my repeated Dashain greetings which Yahoo genuinely placed in the spam folder. It is not that I enjoy going through these unwanted miracle of 'Reply All' button, but I still do not understand how the hundreds of other invitations from all these online hotties remain intact in my inbox. I guess it is just an example of how technology has become successful empowering the once powerless. Seriously, I nowadays think that these beautiful girls walking on the street are way powerful than the president of United States. It is all about the attention anyway and who wows who with greater strength. The chicken-busters in Datatraya area almost wowed the local health department by doing hunger strike when it tried to impose sanction on their farms. Where was Miss Bhaktapur to calm these guys down during the time of need? Notorious as they appear, this Hollywood power couple also wowed the media by disclosing their separation. The rep. for Mr. Basic Instinct cited the source in the condition of anonymity whereas the Kiwi rep for his better half remains unspoken as of today. Apart from the main subject matter, what excites me more is how the whole story unfolds and ends. The architecture of having multiple layers of organizations within a family has already wowed me more than anything else. And, this new corporate model should also wow the new generation if they want to raise a family.
Like I said above, your wowing capacity determines your success at every level. Posing with a big bowl of 'Aalu ko achaar' on side, even this fake Heena made Blondie with the real blue contact wows her recently discovered maternal uncle in Face-book by showing her organic Farmville. Overshadowed by those newly purchased furniture, the sequential display of Mula, Kankro & Ghirawula however seems to have some serious explaining to do to justify the title 'Aaja ko kheti'. And No offense, I do not see any co-relation between the nice long circumference of her protruding belly and all these poor veggies which are almost ready to be decomposed within few days from now. These nonsense aside, let us be jubilant and celebrate Dashain because it matters more to the people like us who would never go back.
Unlike us, people back home do not have to wait for Dashain to celebrate and be merry. They celebrate everything pretty much every day anyway. A political party calls for shutdown, they celebrate. Some oppose and call for another shutdown to denounce earlier shutdown, they celebrate again. A leader switches to another profitable party, they celebrate one more time. Even when this not so corrupt leader comes out of the prison by serving the wrongful conviction, they celebrate. The celebration never stops sometimes in the name of Mao, sometimes to muster BP's dream. I doubt whether BP and all these freaking Mao leaders ever discussed their dreams in public. I hope they did not dream of a week- long vacation in Aruba. Who knows? As confusing as it sounds, it should remain a mystery before it comes true so I assume there is no harm to follow the untold dream. And, even when you follow without knowing what it is, it is ok because everybody is doing it. I assume the saga will continue until they change our national anthem to 'जन गन मन'.
