Heah Guys,
I have filed Asylum a year back and it was denied. After that, i continue my studies as a F1 student and completed it. I got a job which requires travelling outside of USA. My company is offering me the H1-B so that i can extend my Visa. I cannot go Nepal to extend the VIsa. Can I go other countries, like Mexico or Canada, for the extension of the VISA. It was expired last October. What are the chances of getting the VISA again even though i applied the Asylum.
Need an Advisement soon.
Thanks.

Aren't you out of status once you apply for asylum and it was rejected? I thought you could not keep your F1 and apply for asylum. You should ask a lawyer for ADVICE.

well if you have to g filed Asylum while on F1, and got denied, you have to get back F1 status. And that F1 was the reason that you could not appeal for rejection. And yes absolutely you can travel to canada or mexico for your visa. I would recommend Canada. Best of luck pal.

I initially thought this thread was 'advertising' something. I hope you get some advisement, no pun intended.
