I am a F1 Student in united states. I am graduating on coming semester. my owner want to enroll me on the business and apply a G.C somewhere in california.I can bring around 100k from my home country nepal too, but when i see online it is saying i have to have 500k on the investment.
My question is :
  • can my owner invest for me or i have to have cash from back home?
  • is there some alternative?
  • if my owner agree to invest or keep me as a active partner of 51% on the business of 1000k

thank you so much for your time and help; any kind of information help alot

Another thing to consider is your status, if you are F1 your business earnings/salary could be violation of status? I am not so sure about it though...anyone expert?

Business greencard can be risky. If you can afford money, why not get married to a citizen ( assuming you are not married), Its faster and will be lot cheaper.
Also consult an immigration attorney for business deals, the investment requirement is just a step. You will have to show legal souces of income from Nepal. The requirement for investment is 1,000,000. 500000 is only for targeted areas  (uscis says: areas with high unemployment rate). The investment needs to create 10 jobs and you have to maintain the employment. All in all lot of lafda.

Your owner? Somebody owns you in the land of the free?

Joke aside, try getting a job on H1-B and then ask the employer to file for your GC... GC through $1M investment is not as easy as it sounds. Be careful.

You said your owner. That's funny..
But on a serious note don't fall for your owner's talk. It doesn't sound right.
