brahmins-Dalits of modern India!!!!!!!!!

At a time when the Congress government wants to raise the quota for
Other Backward Classes to 49.5 per cent in private and public sectors,
nobody talks about the plight of the upper castes. The public image of
the Brahmins, for instance, is that of an affluent, pampered class.
But is it so today?
Doctors in arms
There are 50 Sulabh Shauchalayas (public toilets) in Delhi; all of
them are cleaned and looked after by Brahmins (this very welcome
public institution was started by a Brahmin). A far cry from the
elitist image that Brahmins have!
There are five to six Brahmins manning each Shauchalaya. They came to
Delhi eight to ten years back looking for a source of income, as they
were a minority in most of their villages, where Dalits are in
majority (60 per cent to 65 per cent). In most villages in UP and
Bihar, Dalits have a union which helps them secure jobs in villages.
At Ground Zero of the quota protests
Did you know that you also stumble upon a number of Brahmins working
as coolies at Delhi's railway stations? One of them, Kripa Shankar
Sharma, says while his daughter is doing her Bachelors in Science he
is not sure if she will secure a job.
"Dalits often have five to six kids, but they are confident of placing
them easily and well," he says. As a result, the Dalit population is
increasing in villages. He adds: "Dalits are provided with housing,
even their pigs have spaces; whereas there is no provision for
gaushalas (cowsheds) for the cows of the Brahmins."
The middle class deserves what it is getting
You also find Brahmin rickshaw pullers in Delhi. 50 per cent of Patel
Nagar's rickshaw pullers are Brahmins who like their brethren have
moved to the city looking for jobs for lack of employment
opportunities and poor education in their villages.
Even after toiling the whole day, Vijay Pratap and Sidharth Tiwari,
two Brahmin rickshaw pullers, say they are hardly able to make ends
meet. These men make about Rs 100 to Rs 150 on an average every day
from which they pay a daily rent of Rs 25 for their rickshaws and Rs
500 to Rs 600 towards the rent of their rooms which is shared by 3 to
4 people or their families.
Did you also know that most rickshaw pullers in Banaras are Brahmins?
Do our institutes connect with the real India?
This reverse discrimination is also found in bureaucracy and politics.
Most of the intellectual Brahmin Tamil class has emigrated outside
Tamil Nadu. Only 5 seats out of 600 in the combined UP and Bihar
assembly are held by Brahmins -- the rest are in the hands of the
Yadavs.
400,000 Brahmins of the Kashmir valley, the once respected Kashmiri
Pandits, now live as refugees in their own country, sometimes in
refugee camps in Jammu and Delhi in appalling conditions. But who
gives a damn about them? Their vote bank is negligible.
And this is not limited to the North alone. 75 per cent of domestic
help and cooks in Andhra Pradesh are Brahmins. A study of the Brahmin
community in a district in Andhra Pradesh (Brahmins of India by J
Radhakrishna, published by Chugh Publications) reveals that today all
purohits live below the poverty line.
Eighty per cent of those surveyed stated that their poverty and
traditional style of dress and hair (tuft) had made them the butt of
ridicule. Financial constraints coupled with the existing system of
reservations for the 'backward classes' prevented them from providing
secular education to their children.
Who are the real Dalits of India?
In fact, according to this study there has been an overall decline in
the number of Brahmin students. With the average income of Brahmins
being less than that of non-Brahmins, a high percentage of Brahmin
students drop out at the intermediate level. In the 5 to 18 year age
group, 44 per cent Brahmin students stopped education at the primary
level and 36 per cent at the pre-matriculation level.
The study also found that 55 per cent of all Brahmins lived below the
poverty line -- below a per capita income of Rs 650 a month. Since 45
per cent of the total population of India is officially stated to be
below the poverty line it follows that the percentage of destitute
Brahmins is 10 per cent higher than the all-India figure.
There is no reason to believe that the condition of Brahmins in other
parts of the country is different. In this connection it would be
revealing to quote the per capita income of various communities as
stated by the Karnataka finance minister in the state assembly:
Christians Rs 1,562, Vokkaligas Rs 914, Muslims Rs 794, Scheduled
castes Rs 680, Scheduled Tribes Rs 577 and Brahmins Rs 537.
Appalling poverty compels many Brahmins to migrate to towns leading to
spatial dispersal and consequent decline in their local influence and
institutions. Brahmins initially turned to government jobs and modern
occupations such as law and medicine. But preferential policies for
the non-Brahmins have forced Brahmins to retreat in these spheres as
well.
Caste shouldn't overwrite merit
According to the Andhra Pradesh study, the largest percentage of
Brahmins today are employed as domestic servants. The unemployment
rate among them is as high as 75 per cent. Seventy percent of Brahmins
are still relying on their hereditary vocation. There are hundreds of
families that are surviving on just Rs 500 per month as priests in
various temples (Department of Endowments statistics).
Priests are under tremendous difficulty today, sometimes even forced
to beg for alms for survival. There are innumerable instances in which
Brahmin priests who spent a lifetime studying Vedas are being
ridiculed and disrespected.
At Tamil Nadu's Ranganathaswamy Temple, a priest's monthly salary is
Rs 300 (Census Department studies) and a daily allowance of one
measure of rice. The government staff at the same temple receive Rs
2,500 plus per month. But these facts have not modified the priests'
reputation as 'haves' and as 'exploiters.' The destitution of Hindu
priests has moved none, not even the parties known for Hindu sympathy.
The tragedy of modern India is that the combined votes of Dalits/OBC
and Muslims are enough for any government to be elected. The Congress
quickly cashed in on it after Independence, but probably no other
government than Sonia Gandhi's has gone so far in shamelessly dividing
Indian society for garnering votes.
From the Indian Express: 'These measures will not achieve social justice'
The Indian government gives Rs 1,000 crores (Rs 10 billion) for
salaries of imams in mosques and Rs 200 crores (Rs 2 billion) as Haj
subsidies. But no such help is available to Brahmins and upper castes.
As a result, not only the Brahmins, but also some of the other upper
castes in the lower middle class are suffering in silence today,
seeing the minorities slowly taking control of their majority.
How reservations fracture Hindu society
Anti-Brahminism originated in, and still prospers in anti-Hindu
circles. It is particularly welcome among Marxists, missionaries,
Muslims, separatists and Christian-backed Dalit movements of different
hues. When they attack Brahmins, their target is unmistakably
Hinduism.
So the question has to be asked: are the Brahmins (and other upper
castes) of yesterday becoming the Dalits of today.?

Guys why do we give examples only of those who are worst.. cant we use the examples of the good person who have done something better from different race and comunities.. ok for a second forget abotu the worst politicians and corrupted person. lets talk about the good person.. B.P koirala.. he belongs to Bahun community but who doesnt respect him today.. Do anybody have guts to say even a single word against him... national hero ganeshman singh.. he is from newar community.. as the matter of fact he is from Jhyapu community...Jhyapu is the word used by almost all the bahuns and chhetris... no matter its shrestha, pradhan or dongol but for all the bahuns and chhetris they are so called Jhyapus....So is there any doubt about Sit  Ganeshman singh....tenging norgay sherpa.. he is from sherpa community so called BHOTE.... who is not proud of him...Man Singh Gurung, though m confued about the name but he is the one who got Victoria Cross from the hand of Elizabeth II fro fighting in world war II, V.C is the most valuble medal which is given only to those people who shows there bravery during the war..Politician Madan Bhandari.. he is from bahun but do anybody knows how intellectual and good person he was...

So guys what i want to say is no body is perfect in this world.. each and everyone of us have some consequences on us.. Every people has the good as well as bad things on them... same like that in every race, ethnic, community there wil be some bad people who are corrupted and so soo...so rather than blaming eachother just stay in the buttom part of it.. lets stop the fight and join our hands together,,, Yo sale America bhanne thau we are not bahuns and newars , we are just nepalese... we have the same blood and that is of brotherhood.... You blind morons.. that's in bahun's blood... they were taught by their fathers and fore-fathers... that's why Nepal is in this dire state. Bahuns secretly waged conspiracy against others.. they only studied.. they never told the importance of education.. and rest of the population remained bheda.. and bahuns were enjoying all these years.... it's not ability.. bahuns are no more able than other peole in Nepal... it's because of lack of education bahuns got advantage... bahuns, essentially SCREWED other Nepalese... yeah assehole, it wont stop anywhere if we r to show each others cultural n religious drawback, but eloping with bhauju is not culture or tradition, if they fell in love let them do watever, as if it only happens in kirat community n never in others, anyway its not relevant either dude. wat?? hav i not seen any bahun dudes watching hindi movies n fliritng with chiks?? or were they busy cracking pots somewhere near thier college vatti.

all i was saying was that u guys had more than 90 percent representative in the gov n country got messed up, thats why other ppl hav prejudice n bias towards ur community. n they r now revolting for fair inclusive of all ethnicities which is happening. admit it , armed maoist movement got momentum and popularity after they initiated these issues in national level. it didnt just fall frm sky.

i know u can even shoot bush frm here, so dont use those threatening words, waste of ur energy n time, it wont make us shiver. i see u come frm east nepal, hope u know about bahuns that got chased away from limbu pahads many years ago n settled in jhapa n right now khumbuwans in khumbu area are doing the same things. personally i despise it, but how did all these start in the first place??

dude wats up with all pot cleaning n shit cleaning n kind of uni stuff?? isnt that typical bahun, levelling people with wat they do n study n where. ur manu script doesnt work now, even so called bishnu's incarnation got kicked out.

i agree u people's intellects had leaded many revolts in the past for the good of the nation, dont forget frm rana's regime to panchayat to this republic significant number of manpower in the fields were frm  other communities. so u cant take the whole credit. u can defend as much as u can u hav every rights but dont doubt our nationalism. anyway enough of this bullshit, all i care is to work togther, as u hav claimed to b the mastermind of south asia, work it out to stop selling our soverignty to india n developing whole nation not only personal. and as u hav claimed us to b bahadurs, we would defend our teritory to our last blood from any invaders. peace assholes, jai nepal.

Okay,

Lets put a full stop here.

I gave up trying to find a strong competitor. And I am not suprised.

And I will not stop to fight against people who thinks they are superior.

For a change - I will fight with kalam not khukuri.

So, I will wait for people with ass attitudes in real feild and in Nepal.

Also I felt it is worthless to fight with a ghost behind a computer. We don't know who they are or where are they etc.

Face to face garna paye po maaza aunthyo.

Gabbar-don't try to push it any further now.

Adios...

A food for thought and a question for people like Dear sir types before I go = Who is responsible????

Nepal fares badly even among LDCs

A latest UN report has pointed that Nepal has fared badly even among the 50 Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

Former Vice-Chairman of National Planning commission Dr. Shankar Sharma (left) and UN Resident Coordinator Robert Piper talking to journalists after launching the UNCTAD Report 2008 in Kathmandu, , Thursday, July 17 08. nepalnews.com/rh

"Nepal itself continues to remain an outlier alongside other Asian LDCs that have enjoyed higher rates of growth over recent years and are making faster progress in transforming their economies away from a dependence on commodities towards manufacturing and services," says the press release issued by the United Nations Information Center referring to the latest report on LDCs by UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

"On current trends, the report suggests Nepal could be more than 50 years away from graduating from the LDC group," the release adds.

Launching the report subtitled "Growth, poverty and the terms of the development partnership," Rober Piper, UN Resident Coordinator for Nepal, underlined the importance of the Nepal government making the right policy choices to place Nepal on track to faster and more equitable growth.

"We need a much greater sense of urgency amongst all those responsible to get Nepal out (of the LDCs club). Only effective economic policies that create employment, increase agricultural productivity and reduce dependence on commodities can ensure that growth – when it comes – will translate into poverty reduction. One third of Nepal's population continue to live in some of the worst conditions to be found on the planet," Piper said.

Presenting the findings of the report, Dr. Shankar Sharma, former vice chairman of National Planning Commission (NPC), said that in the last three years, the average GDP growth of Nepal stood at 2.8 percent – way below the average of LDCs at 7.6 percent. nepalnews.com sd Jul 17 08

All the people low caste or whatever caste (jyappu, bhote, madhise, chayame, pode etc who are lucky enough to have a computer and obviously somewhat educated), did you guys read this post, or I should ask, did you UNDERSTAND this post? If you did understand this POST you will not blame anyone forget about any caste or race for the nepal's current state. Also keep in mind Nepal is a state as big as state of Georgia, and has 30million population, and also keep in mind they just concluded a 10 year brutal gorilla revolution (thanks to bahuns leaders, again) Bahuns are the cream or the crop - thats a fact. Here is the post I'm talking about .... read it again, mainly understand it.

"
why Nepal is not getting development but is developed than sub-saharan countries.
Bro, let me remind you, there are nearly more than fifty  LDCs.  they have also same  level of poverty.a land locked  country has rare opportunity to explore the dynamic gains of world. Nepal can characterized as unique geographical set up,  not easily accessible in remote parts of hilly area, ecologically fragile, socially sensitive one.give me logics points by  economic points how bahun stop to development path  of Nepal.i  can summarize few  economic points why Nepal, pls read and try to understand terminologies, if you are belong to development related student, then you will fell a bit difficulty.
(a) geography is no as ways as inda, we have no  port and it invokes the higher price  of all imported  and exported goods in Nepal. due to thei geographical difficulties we are not able exports  our products to abroad. even the local market is not possible. one example is jumla  and marpha apple production.  these brands are  not getting market at all. we would have  earned a lot of money if  we had good land terrain and transport infrasture facility. then you would get jumla apple in Baltimore market. do you think these geographical reasons created by Bahun??? if so you   never visited outside of kathmandu.
(2)  generally a economy is guided by industrial sectors, agriculture sectors and service sectors. who will invest in Nepal????  if there is  still a group who can kill  their own kin and kith without reason.if you are students of development related fields, you can read investment criteria properly, i think you will get answers of why foreign investment are coming to  Nepali soil. they will  first calculate capital-output ratio and cost-benefit analysis. do you think these capital-out put ratio and cost benefit analysis is  related to bahun community???? give me logical answer,,, if you are not working in a restaurant.
(3)it is well know that  our neighboring  province of india is bihar, how much trassaction cost you have to face during the  trade transit problem,,, is it due to bahun community????? give me answer properly. and there was big proposal  for KODAK company  investment in Nepal but  India raise this issue in internation forum and kodak company went back. is it due to bahun community? give me  genuine logics.
(4) investment  in Nepal need huge social over capital to install in any development package due its geographical set up. then no investor want to invest in Nepal.same company can get higher benefit if they invest in Kolkatta, or nairobi and tangenia. is it due to bahun community?
give me  reliable logics
(5) foreign  capital is backbone of any nation but  how much we are getting, you can calculate??? and what you expect from this tiny amount from foreign  nation.
(6) give me development model that is suitable for us. so do  not talk like journalists. give me reasons  which model you want, Korean model or Singapore model?? then pls explain why you are not preferring Germany or malyasia  model.  consider our economy is agriculture based economy.
 (your answer of 4)
you are talking about what bahun did in last fifty years.
after second world war small countries were really faced in their identy problem. some countries lost their identity from world map, see sikkim  and a part of pakisthan. some countries were immersed all of sudden like bangladesh, achhe and many more. why sikkim polician leaders conuld not champaign and  manage identiy  for their country  but how Nepal was saved. at that time Nepal bahun  Play great role by campaigning "Zone of peace". and  most of the powerful countries of world supported this tactics.  India could not capture Nepal  though there was hard liner indiragandhi was in power. and and today we are Nepali. we, real Nepali People, should salute to these  venerate bahun communities  for coming atleast 1000 years. at that time where  were LAHURES AND JANJATI. they must be  at big theater to dance in UK or fighting to save British, not  Nepali land.
following are the celebrity  benevolent duties did by  venerate bahun community to Nepal
Under whose leadership Nepal got UN membership? -----------who lead to make east-west highway------- who made todays available infrastructure-------- who established the relationship  with other foreign countries (Only bahun and chhetry community did this great job)------------ why same facilities are not getting by African countries even if they are wealthier  country than Nepal. who took leadrship for democracy?--------------- who tood leadership for republic of Nepal--------------- ,,,,,,  these all are under bahun leaderships. in these times JANJATI were drinking in singapur, or uk or hongkong., Now we bahun are giving BHAT to janjati.   actually in this sense  they are not pure Nepali, BUT BHATUWA. like obama is not kenyan.

BUT WHAT THE F##CK IS THE STRENGTH?? I AM SICK OF ASKING THIS Q. THIS IS JUST A SIMPLE QUESTION. DOESN"T TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO ANSWER IT.

Goru, can you say anything without saying muji ? murkha. Read your posting again you make 0(zero) sense. His post says Nepal will not even exist like sikkim and darjeeling if it was not for bahuns that you hate. Let me simplify for your thick head, you can call yourself nepali because of bahuns(did that make sense?). Otherwise you will be proud dhoti by now, and you would say jai Hind instead of Jai Ama Nepal. Thats the strength?? do you even know what "strength" means?
