Who's your next president 2016?

pollcode.com free polls

We've known Hillary for long time, her charity works towards numerous other humanitarian issues etc.
1. She gave and delivered a kickass commencement speech at Wellesley College in 1969.
2. She was one of 27 women who graduated from Yale Law School in 1973, out of a class of 235.
3. She was the only woman on the Nixon impeachment investigation team.
4. She cofounded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families advocacy group.
5. She broke the mold for first ladies with her speech at the 1995 United Nations Women's Conference in China.
6. She won a Grammy for the audio edition of her book, It Takes a Village.
7. She worked with Ted Kennedy to expand the Children's Health Insurance Program.
8. She won the most votes of any female presidential candidate in history.
9. She set the stage for Obamacare by pushing health care reform in the '90s and during the 2008 campaign.
10. She became the most-traveled U.S. secretary of state ever.
11. She set into motion the first American talks with Iran since the 1979 revolution.

Now who is Bernie Sanders, I don't know, I really don't know and to me he popped up suddenly out of nowhere. If you are partaking in a match, there has to be someone to compete with. I believe any contenders to Hillary are just those out there just for the sake of it(match aka debate). And for someone like me when I saw him suddenly on TV saying that he's getting donation for his campaign not from billionaires but public. People paid standing ovation with round of applause, so? so what's the point? Does that make him saint? But to lot of people that made sense and now he's everyone's' talk of the night. Yes, there are things that make lot of sense to people. The same people who would believe they're getting free Ipad on some fake facebook page of real publication, the same people who follow Trump the maniac, the same fans who would like/share tweets of their drughigh fav singer who claims earth is flat, the same people who resend/retext/reshare religious messages out of fear(do this or curse would happen type), the same people who argues Ron Paul's gold theory must come back in action, the same people who believe and sell all their belongings in the name of judgment day only to turn into homeless next day, seriously I sometimes think how gullible we are to think whatever we hear and see are the truths. Bernie Sanders is another hype to me. Few videos on youtube found me the guy was a big time critique of democratic party itself, and didn't spare Obama policy from criticizing. I am afraid of sweet talkers and often time they're the back stabbers.

In all honesty, I really can't trust this Bernie dude and it seems like how honestly he's saying his things, Hillary is the way to go. Campaigns can't be run without money, however way you get it, you need money. He'll be in billionaire's pocket too if he's to get presidency. Those who think he's not going to be, are just type of people I mentioned in a paragraph above this.

If you are OBAMA supporters, VOTE for Hillary, if you are not VOTE for bernie.

Good Luck.

I'm seeing Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States of America.

Bittu don't get stuck on people who do the endorsing. The truth does not change because a criminal says it. If a murderer praises Buddha, it does not diminish the value of who Buddha is or what he stands for. So if you want to discuss the facts, then go ahead and discuss about the points in the chart.

Neo dai, with due respect I really tried my best to avoid online discussion with you but you left me no choice. :)

I'll try to pinpoint things quickly ; -
If that's right what you posted in the chart above then global outcomes are disastrous than I thought would be with bernie.

- Past events are evident that major attacks are planned by those disguised as citizens(of foreign background), I don't understand what is wrong with scrutinizing their activities? Must eavesdrop suspicious communication, tap all electronic activities and if that's for national security. I don't think that's called spying on US citizens, it's one of the ways to keep us safe. America is such a free country that citizens are asked for what a government should do or not? Can you expect this kind of government treatment in China or Russia? They simply ransack you, no question asked if its about national security. Forget about authorities describing your law and your right, they fcking mess up your facial geography with boots and gun barrels.

-Well, snowden in my conscience is a traitor. He took oath, joined the government agencies but literally stole all information and share those with journalists he met somewhere in Asia. It is what spies do, espionage, infiltration and destruction. There is another reason not to VOTE bernie, he's with a traitor convicted of treason and encouraging more of it. Unknowingly, may be he doesn't even realize but support to a traitor means, turning a fine state into anarchy. I mean who doesn't keep an eye on it's citizen, every single country in the world does. I really didn't know what it was called in US though - NSA right?

-I am not against war, but what has been done in the past cannot be undone, and this country has history of battling rivals. I don't think it's something that can be stopped at this point of time. Him saying no war is simply so so unrealistic. Say we got dropped b-00mb on us, bernie would say no no no. By now, India or china would have murdered/raped us, if there wasn't international intervention. We've treaties of countries all over that intervention for good are conducted. We Nepalese are stationed in Congo right? well that was just an example. What am saying is there are evils everywhere and sometimes they needed to be dealt with blunt force.

-Bernie against Offshoring jobs, well consequences are dire. Don't vote this guy.

-Did he seriously proposed carbon tax? whao.. that would skyrocket the price of all fossil fuels. I understand we need to find better alternative but until then. Do you even realize if he enact that law, what would happen to rest of the world? This guy is a nut. Don't vote bernie.

-One more thing, he's keeping mum on gun control. Meaning he is against gun control. And every day, we've news that so called sensible gun owners suddenly running amok and killing people. We don't need chart for that, this guy supports gun. Don't vote bernie.

Neo dai, I still don't know who this bernie guy is. It's just this chart describing him and have watched few hours of him talking, debating still failed to impress us diehard clinton/obama supporters.

In a democracy like the US, it is very normal to have different perspectives and to stand on different sides of the issue, and I appreciate your perspectives.

If Bernie did not have the perspective that makes sense to a lot of people, his support would not grow from 0 to 50% in nine months, so the 50% must have a different perspective too!

Campaign finance is a important aspect of the current US democracy whereby rich companies can spend billions of $$ to support their candidates and to run negative campaigns on candidates they do not support. This takes away the people's power to choose the candidate of their choice fairly. Bernie's all for grassroot donations by people only because that is the only way to ensure a government by the people and for the people. There may be unions who are supporting Bernie and running ads of their own accord but that is not what Bernie wants. He wants to end all funding that is not provided by the people.

I don't want to go over too much regarding Government that becomes more and more fascist by curtailing citizen's rights and gives themselves the blanket right to increasingly become a police state which the billionaires prefer because their apparent goal is to have a country full of drones and slaves who will increase their profit line and who are under control of the government which they have full sway over. Which is exactly the reason why Snowden had to leave the US to let US citizens know that their privacy rights have been taken away by the government. Although he did a big favor letting Americans know what the government is doing, the all powerful government with blanket patriot act rights calls him a traitor while he sacrificed his comfort to let everyone know the truth.

War is good if US is being attacked. After invading Iraq with a false pretext of weapons of mass destruction, over 500,000 people have been killed in Iraq alone. Similarly the current governments have favored perpetual wars to please their campaign financers because wars mean big $$$. Even the constitution does not grant a right to attack another country unless US faces imminent threat of attack, but you know that these politicians are in the pocket of billionaires who need to perpetuate wars to increase their profits. They probably have enough money to live without any worry like kings for centuries but their greed is never ending.

Current government along with the other candidates favor prison for profit being run by corporations who again have their favors returned for campaign financing. US spends much more to incarcerate people than to educate people due to the apparent conflict of interest. A person caught with a marijuana joint has spent over 20 years in prison compared to fat billionaires who have run the banking industry amok and destroyed the lives and lifelong savings of millions of people. And what does the government do? They give them trillions of $$$ to fix their banks.

Carbon tax is essential to stop destroying the planet and the ecosystem where we live in. Current government have looked the other way again because of campaign finance.

So you see, there are always different ways of looking at things. One way is a robotic way of following the herd trying the maintain the status quo. Obey the government and never question them no matter how much money they get from billionaires to advance their cause. Ignore the stark irregularities of perpetual wars and perpetual decline of the middle class while the $$$ always siphons up to the banks and the billionaires.

The other way is to become more human and realize what is wrong with the system.

Who you are is dependent on your own prejudices and values.

Khaobadi,
One of the things that is wrong with the current way of thinking is people want to support someone who they think will win - instead of supporting someone who is right.

@neo

On perpetual wars, General Dwight D. Eisenhower who was the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe that ultimately defeated Hitler's Wehrmacht (German Army) said it the best in his farewell speech as the 34th President of the United States.

ne0, since you say Bernie is not a politician and criticize Hillary for flipflopping:

Bernie was a proud lifelong independent and had always been critical of the Democratic party. Now, he is running as a democrat, conveniently dismissing that he used to consider himself to good to be a part of the Democratic party. If it is all about principles and values, if it is not about winning an election, if Bernie is "not a politician", please explain why he didn't run as an independent.

Yes, Hillary has changed her stand on some issues. As circumstances change, as more information becomes available, our views and our stand can (and should) change. The important thing is where these two candidates stand now and from what I see, they stand right next to each other (in terms of policies).

Hillary, I think, will be better at pushing her agenda (which won't be different from Bernie's agenda) through Congress. With Bernie as the president, we might have 8 years of stalled government.

@Bittertruth

Carbon tax is already a reality in California and other jurisdictions in North America. British Columbia (Canada) has it for about last six years. Alberta (Canada) also announced late last year that it will be the next to have carbon tax so did Quebec (Canada).

www.planetizen.com writes, "The oil industry was predicting motorist outrage and an increase in gas prices of around 70-cents due to the carbon charge effective in the state [of California] on January 1 [2015]. Some prices increased 10-cents, but went largely unnoticed."

Mily I never said Bernie is not a politician. Where did you get that from :)
I did not criticize Hillary from flipflopping in any policies because like you said people change their minds but I pointed out that her changing her mind about the Iraq war does not bring back the 500,000 lives lost. So essentially I am saying that she did not have a sound judgment which was partly responsible for all those lives lost.

Hillary may be better at pushing her agenda because she has the backing of the industries and the billionaires who have big influence over the government. That is exactly the thing that we need to stop proliferating. The more you give in to these cartel government, the worser off we will be. That's why Bernie is getting a lot of support from the common people because people are slowly beginning to realize how the government has been functioning in collusion with the special interest groups that fund the campaigns.

Bittertruth, that's why I said "partly responsible" but the fact is that she did vote for it. Noone here is saying that Hillary was responsible for the iraq war. Your are making up things up :)

All that is being said is that she voted for the war.

@Mily

Here is the exact quote from one of his earlier posts in this thread, "Did he seriously proposed carbon tax? whao.. that would skyrocket the price of all fossil fuels. I understand we need to find better alternative but until then. Do you even realize if he enact that law, what would happen to rest of the world? This guy is a nut. Don't vote bernie. "

Khao, Keep trying and best of luck. I would call that temperament not shock. And ur stat to back ur claim that carbon tax already is in effect is incomplete.

Since u r doing lot of google search, u can do one more on age group percentage who is supporting who. If u dont trust me u can do ur own but that age group supporting bernie cant bring victory to him. Percentagewise they are outnumbered. I hate to say but MOST of those are young and dumb hypnotized by mantra of bernie the pied piper of free college and open marijuana, breaking banks, free healthcare. Are these realistic, nope but he found his circle and he is tapping more into it. Vote for hillary.
